How To Help Your Flabby Tabby Cat

How To Help Your Flabby Tabby Cat

Buy toys for your Cat to toss up in the air and pounce on by interactive toys you can entertain your Cat with, such as a fish on the end of a rope. Treat toys are good because your Cat has to figure out how to get the pleasure and will lose weight while pursuing the joy.

Some cats are nighttime eaters and pack on the pounds if they eat late at night. My vet told me to put their food bowls away at night. My cats did lose some weight with that method. Buying senior cat food for older cats will help them lose weight. Feed your flabby, tabby smaller portions.

I live in a story-and-a-half house with stair steps, and my cats have lost weight from running up and down the steps. Sometimes they run up and down my steps at record speeds in the middle of the night. My house cats also enjoy playing with a circle game toy for cats with a ball in the middle that they bat back and forth.

I recently purchased  One fast Cat, which is like a kitty treadmill. My Cat next door caught onto how to use it rather quickly. My oldest Cat next door, Maggie, had it figured out in record time. I was shocked when I took Addi to my vet recently for her yearly shots and checkup. My vet put Addi on the scale, and she had lost four pounds in only three months by using One Fast Cat. My calico Cat Cali lost two pounds. I will take more of my cat next door to the vet as the year progresses, and I am anxious to find out how much weight they have lost by using One Fast Cat.

I hope this information helps your flabby tabby become a friendly shapely lean cat. I hope you and your Cat can exercise for many years and remain happy and healthy.

Cats Showing Off

Cats Showing Off

Cats like and crave attention. I had a Red Tabby cat that would play with a circle game toy, and he would make sure that everyone in the room was watching him. He had mastered that game to perfection, and he wanted to make sure everyone knew that.

I had a black house cat that would walk across the curtain rod with the grace of a tightrope walker. He never once lost his balance while he performed his fast rope walk. We had a black outdoor cat that would balance up high on the feed door and then jump down on the shoulder of whoever was by the feed door. She could scare you at 5 in the morning when she landed on your shoulder.

I had a calico cat that would bring dead snakes homes and put them on my doorstep. I guess she wanted to show me what a brave huntress she was. I also had a gray and white female cat take on a skunk, and she won the match except for a bite on her face which healed up quickly. Her rabies shots were up to date, so I did not have to worry about that.

Cats love to do something naughty while you are talking on the phone. I guess they figure even negative attention is attention. They tend to jump on things they know are off-limits while you are chatting away on the phone. I think they also figure that you will not interrupt your conversation to correct their bad behavior at that moment.

I had one cat climb to the top of the barn roof, and she stayed up there for about two whole days before coming down alone. When she was down, she asked me if you worried about her. She knew the answer to that question, as I had been concerned that she might fall to her death.

Conrad

My house cat Conrad can get treats out of any treat dispenser ASAP. He has mastered all of the ones I have very quickly. He loves to play with circle ball toys and is proficient with either paw he uses. He will sit in the middle of the circle game and bat the ball one way and then the other, using a different foot every time.

Cats crave attention and love showing off whenever and however they can. Cats are great entertainers. We would be lost without our cats and their performances.

Cats At Play

Cats At Play

Kittens start by trying to grab their Mother’s tail as she swishes it back and forth. They love to play with maple tree helicopters, jump in loose leaves, and chase the leaves as the wind moves them around. They love to play with a medium size ball of aluminum foil. One of my cats had a fetish with sponges; she would remove them from my sink and play with them. I ended up purchasing a lot of new sponges for my dishwashing needs.

Cats Can Play With Almost Any Cat Toy

Cats can play with any toy that seems to catch their fancy. Empty toilet paper rolls are a big hit with some cats. When cats catch a mouse, they love the catch-and-release technique until the mouse dies. Kittens start wrestling with their brothers and sisters to see who the top cat is. In my house, next door Cali is the head of the household. Cali is part Siamese, which is why she has been able to hold on to her position as the top matron of the house. Cali does not hurt or harm the other cats, but she has her way of letting them know she rules the roost. She was the first to try out my new Litter -Robot litter box. All of the other cats learned how it worked from her.

Cats Learn From Each Other

When a new cat toy is placed in your house, one cat seems to go for it ASAP, and then the other cats in your home learn how to use it by watching your leed cat. I have a cat treat dispenser that Conrad mastered, and Kohl and Garfunkel have also gotten their fair share of treats. The circle game toy is an excellent example. My cat Red had the circle toy mastered to perfection. He was ambidextrous, and the ball would speed around the track like greased lightning. Philmoor watched Red, and he was able to master the circle ball toy.

Cats learn from watching one another very quickly. My cats come running when I call them by name. Kohl likes to brush my hair with his paws now and then. Garfunkel loves to lick my fingers, and Conrad occasionally gives little love nips. My cats love to roll around on warm cement and eat fresh grass and catnip. Cats are curious creatures and can make a game almost out of anything.

Treat Your Cat To New Cat Toys

Treat your cat to a new cat toy or make one from things you have in your home that would be pet friendly. Watching a cat or kitten at play is very relaxing. If you have a cat toy with a string and a fish on the end of it, you and your cat can interact together. Your cat will love the extra attention that he is getting. When he is done playing, he will probably purr away until he falls soundly asleep in your lap. I hope you and your cat have many years to interact together.

What My Cats Do Everyday

What My Cats Do Everyday

My cats have their daily routines down to a science. My house cats sleep on my bed at night, in one of their cat beds, or on a large fluffy mat that the sun shines on in the daytime. My cats stop at the litter box, food, and water bowl to start their morning. They take turns looking out the picture window at the birds eating out of their bird feeders.

Kohl starts his morning rummaging through his toy box for the perfect cat toys to play with for the day. Garfunkel is on my bed now, watching my blog away. Conrad is in his recliner, taking his first catnap at 10:00 AM. Garfunkel will go back to watching birds when I am finished with this blog post.

Conrad will toss his green snail up in the air, and Kohl will play with any toy frog he can find, along with toy mice, a stuffed hedgehog, and more. All of my house cats like to get their cat treats out of cat treat dispensers, except for Garfunkel. Garfunkel wants his treat placed in front of him. Around 1:00  PM, it is time for catnap number 2. Garfunkel likes to watch animals, westerns, and car racing on TV. At 4:00 PM, it is time for catnap number 3.

At 7:00 PM, my house cats take a last look at the birds for the day. Their last catnap of the day is a little after 7:00 PM. They eat a little bit of cat food before bedtime. When I go to bed, they go to bed.

My cat’s next door sit on their cat trees and watch the birds and me. Peter or Faith is on the lookout for cats in the morning, and they seem to tell the other cats that I am up and will be over soon to tend to their needs and wants for the day. I find them sleeping in their cat beds, hammocks, sizeable fluffy cat mat, and on guard in the cat trees. They come running once I open the door. I give them fresh water, fill up their food dishes, and clean out the litter boxes, except for the automatic ones that get cleaned once a week. Cali and Mr. Gray immediately deposit the litter box so I can clean it out before I leave for the morning. They watch me open up a nice can of cat food for a little extra snack for the day for them. They take turns eating their portions of the delicious canned treat.

I find various cat toys lying on the floor when I arrive in the morning. Toy mice stuffed with catnip are a big hit, along with singing birds, balls, and a bat whose stomach lights up when it is tossed around. They love it when I pat or brush them on the head in the morning.

All of my cats love and enjoy different toys and games. My cats have learned my routine for what time frame I will take care of them. My cats give me joy and love every day of my life.

Jitters And Tabatha

The Adventures Of Zachary, Jitters and Tabatha

I purchased Zachary, my pet goat, from a party that raised goats in Thornton, Iowa. He came to live with me as a very young goat. I put him in a building with two cats because I wanted him to get along with them.

We had a dog that was a part miniature lab, a dachshund, and a rat terrier, and her name was Jitters. Jitters and Zachary got along well together. Jitter was a brilliant small dog. She won every prize at a dog show at TSC except for one tip. A puppy won that prize. She would jump into my father’s arms on command, shake hands, and roll over; she loved cats.

My cat Tabatha had her kittens in Jitter’s dog house, and when she left for a while, Jitters was the head babysitter. She watched over those kittens as if they were her offspring. The kittens would come running out of the dog house in the morning, followed by Tabatha and Jitters.

Zachary would jump on our windowsills and look at us while preparing breakfast in the morning. Jitters and Tabatha would be waiting for their fried eggs, oatmeal, and regular morning food. Where one went, they would all go.

When Zach was very young, the two kittens he grew up with the thought, let’s play a trick on the goat. They left him in the cornfield by himself. My Father and I found him in short order as we heard him bleating in the area, and he rode home with us in the pickup. We could not find Zach at one time. He was quick, and he sneaked into our house. We kept calling him outdoors to no avail. We went into our home, and he was standing in the middle of the living room, and luckily, nothing was damaged or soiled.

They would all go out hunting together. Tabatha and Jitters would stay in the ditch and hunt for mice. Zachary would veer off into the cornfield and eat the ear corn left behind by the combine. One time Jitters caught a mouse, and Tabatha got it away from her. Tabatha tried to get her kittens to eat it, but they were too young yet to know what to do with it. Jitters got her mouse back and had her appetizer for the day.

Once they got on the blacktop by my place, a lovely woman herded them back to my site. She got out of her car and said I assume this is where they live I said yes and thanked her. However, she did not herd Tabatha because you can never herd a cat. Tabatha came back all on her own.

Zachary and Tabatha, and Jitters had many fun adventures together. They were beautiful and loving pets. Tabatha lived to be seven years old. Jitters lived to 14 years old. Zachary lived to be 16.3 years old. I am sure they are having fun adventures in heaven. God Bless our beloved pets.

My cats and I can watch many bird feeders outside through my picture window. I  love to feed my birds Kaytee Basic Wild Bird Food from Chewy.Com. Kaytee Basic Blend Wild Bird Food from Chewy.Com has corn, a blend of grains, and sunflower seeds. Kaytee Basic Blend Wild Bird Food has supplements, vitamins, and calcium carbonate to help your wild bird friends get through the stress of winter, breeding, and migration.

Some birds that come to my feeder and eat the Kaytee Basic Blend Wild Bird Food are Houses finches,  Blue-jays, Woodpeckers, Starlings, sparrows, Cardinals, Blackbirds, Goldfinches, and Chickadees. The Goldfinches sit on the windowsill, my cats go wild watching them, and my cats make a clicking sound with their mouths. Sometimes all three house cats are in a row, batting at the birds through the window. Bird watching is an excellent source of entertainment for my cat and me.

I love watching and observing wild birds. I try to make their lives easier by providing high-quality Kaytee wild bird food for them throughout the year. I enjoy watching their offspring grow up, and they eat at my bird feeders eventually. I had a pair of Cardinals and their two young ones eating at my bird feeders, and what a delight it was to watch them.

Put up bird feeders, teach your children about the various birds, and respect and help out the birds that God created. Kaytee Basic Blend Wild Bird Food from Chewy.Com is a bird food your little wild bird friends will sing about for a long time.

How My House cats Spend Their Days In The Winter Months

How My House Cats Spend Their Days In The Winter Months

My house cats love to lay on my bed and look out my window at the birds in the trees and bushes. They sort through their toy box daily to pick a cat toy to toss and throw around in the air. Conrad’s favorite toy is a singing bird cat toy at the moment. He loves tossing it in the air again and again.

Cat Beds and Heated Cat Beds

My cats love to lay in their Meowfia cat bed from Chewy.Com. They also love their Serta cat bed with a plush and cushioned bed for your older or arthritic cat. They love the heated K & H cat beds I purchased from Chewy.Com. My cats in the house next door love their large, wild, enclosed K & H beds and the heated windowsill beds. I have some cat beds that recirculate your cat’s body heat. Several of my cat’s next door are like those.

Heated Water Bowls and Automatic Pet Feeders

I have a large Stainless Steel heated water bowl for my cat next door to drink out of made by Allied Industries Inc. They are easy to clean, and your cat always has water to drink. I have used my heated water bowl for four years, and it still works perfectly. I love my automatic pet feeders as they are easy to use, and your cat always has plenty of tasty food at their disposal. Chewy.com handles automatic pet feeders for your cat or dog.

Bird Watching 101 For Your Cats

I have several bird feeders by my picture window. Put out a large variety of different mixtures of bird seed to attract a large variety of birds. I also put out suet or suet balls from my local grocery store as suet attracts the woodpeckers. My cats watch the following birds: sparrows, blue jays, blackbirds, chickadees, house finches, cardinals, goldfinches, starlings, crows, and woodpeckers.

CAT TOYS THAT ENTERTAIN AND GIVE YOUR CAT EXERCISE

My cats love to play with their circle toys with a ball that they bat around with their paws. They throw their catnip mice around and toss them up in the air. My house cats love to play with a toy that throws out a string called Flik, made by the Pet Safe Co. They love the mice and cat toys that sound like live mice and the birds that sing like living birds. They love to get their cat treats out of the cat treat dispensers. I have purchased some cat treats and dispensers from Chewy.Com. They love it when I swing a stick with a fish attached to the end of it up in the air as they try to grab it.

My cats enjoy their winter months, and I hope they do too.

Sibley Birds Second Edition Book from Chewy.Com

Sibley Birds Guide Second Edition Book from Chewy.Com

I was provided Sibley Birds Guide Second Edition Book from Chewy.Com to facilitate my review. All thoughts are 100 % honest and my own.

The second edition Sibley Birds Guide book is thoroughly revised with more than 600 new paintings, 111 rare species added further information on behavior and habitat, and more tips on finding species in the field. The book is written and illustrated by David Allen Sibley.

The illustrations in the book are 15 % to 20 %  larger for better detail. There are nearly 7000 digitally remastered paintings for better print quality. The attention to extended detail on every bird is exquisite and extensive.

I have learned to look at birds more carefully and pay more attention to their wing patterns and markings, making it easier to identify them correctly the next time I see one. I also pay closer attention to their bill length and the bird’s overall size and learn their songs and calls.

I have learned what kind of trees or brush attract the birds in my backyard. Some birds like older mature trees, and others prefer pine trees. Some of my birds like eating dried berries on some of my hedges. Older trees are a good area for birds to visit, like eat insects and ants found in and on older mature trees.

The Sibley Guide to Birds from Chewy.Com is a must-have guide for the essential bird lover. I love how the Sibley Bird Guide shows you the pictures of the young birds and then the fully mature picture of the bird. It is interesting to see how the coloring in their feathers changes as they become more mature birds.

I have learned what kind of birds like to eat at bird feeders. I knew if their feathers were lying down or up, they were cold, scared, or completely relaxed. The Sibley Birds Guide is the best bird guidebook I have ever owned. I keep it by my chair, picture window, and bird feeders for quick and easy reference.

My cats are delighted that I have the Sibley Bird guidebook from Chewy.Com. With the new guide, our caregiver can attract more birds to her bird feeder to keep us entertained throughout the day.

How To Wake Up Your Human If You Are A Cat

How To Wake Up Your Human If You Are A Cat

My name is Kohl, and I lay on my Mother’s pillow and meow away in her ear. I find my method of waking up my human very effective indeed. My human gets annoyed when I give her my idea of a permanent in the morning. I need away at her hair and comb through it with my teeth. She gets her fill of my cat perm in a hurry, gets out of bed, and tends to all my needs and desires. I demand fresh water in the morning. I stare and the water dish, and she fills it with lovely fresh water for me to drink ASAP. I have her trained perfectly.

My name is Garfunkel, and I lay closer and closer to my human Mother until she cannot stand the heat radiating from my little body any longer and she gets out of bed. I also use another method, as you always need a plan B. I lick and lick away at my human hands and arms. She gets out of bed and cleans our litter boxes, and I make sure I am the first cat to use the cleaned-out litter box in the morning. My human was straightforward to train.

My name is Conrad, and I sleep by my Mother’s feet all night. I am part Siamese, so I let that part of me shine through in the morning. I call out to my human Mother in a shrill Siamese voice that could wake the dead in the morning, and if she did not wake up with that, I would have to call 911. I walk up by her face in the morning as I like it when she pats me on the head and holds me c; I lose to her for a little while.

Conrad by jewelry box

We love our human and try to please her as much as she pleases us. We are fortunate to have each other and be in a loving and caring home. God Bless you, humans, for caring for us and letting us train you perfectly.

Cats And The Predicaments They Get Into

Cats And The Predicaments They Get Into

My Mother had a cat years ago that jumped onto the top of a wood-burning stove, and she burned the bottom of her paws. Their cat let out a horrible wailing sound. They put Vaseline on the bottom of her feet, and she healed quickly from her wood-burning stove ordeal.

I had a half-grown cat ride on top of my car’s gas tank to the college I was attending, about a twenty-minute drive from where I live. I noticed my cat sitting on a tire in between my classes. I told the secretary at the college my predicament, and she gave me a box to put my cat in. It was Sept., and I did not have to worry about him getting overcome with heat by being in my car. He stayed in the box until my last class. I noticed him looking out of my back window. We drove home, and he jumped out with no effects from his adventurous day of travel.

20151109_101734

I have had house cats climb trees when I let them out for a while. One of my cats stayed in the tree even though it started raining outside. When she was soaking wet, she decided to come in and gave me a look that could kill me. I told her I tried to get you in, but you would not come.

I have had friends tell me that their outdoor cats had got their heads stuck in a can, jar, hot dog wrapper, etc. Luckily, they all immediately noticed their cat’s predicaments before they suffocated to death. They used a can opener and butter to get the can off their cat’s head. They very carefully broke the jar off their cat’s head with a hammer, and the hog dog wrapper only required scissors to remove from Fluff’s head.

I hope all of you and your feline friends successfully get out of your predicaments.
