Eye Cancer and Your Cat

Eye Cancer and Your Cat

I once had a Calico kitten, and I named her Cleopatra. Cleopatra was a beautiful light-colored Calico cat. Cleopatra loved to play with her Mother’s tail. Cleo was born on my farm in the barn we had. She had three siblings of various colors. Her Mother was an excellent huntress and would come home with gophers and mice she had killed. Cleo would follow me everywhere. She helped me when I was repairing items outdoors. Cleo would rub up against me constantly and purr away. She was the excellent company when I was outdoors.

Cleo would chase leaves and pounce on them as a kitten. She followed her Mother on her Mother’s hunting expeditions. Her Mother taught her all of her excellent hunting skills. Cleo kept up with her Mother as far as her hunting skills were concerned. Her brother and sisters would play together constantly. Her brother was an all-black kitten; one sister was a yellow tabby,  and the other was a gray-striped tabby cat.

Cleo was always very healthy and energetic. She loved climbing up in the hay loft and sleeping in the excellent hay. I think she had the significant threat of a pigeon now and then. I also saw some rabbit fur on occasion in the barn.

When Cleo was about six years old, I noticed her eye was watering and was full of matter. I put eye drops in her eyes and saw they were not helping her. I took her to my vet, who diagnosed her with eye cancer. Cleo got along fine for about nine months. I noticed her eye was getting worse. My vet had told me that he could not operate on her and that the eye cancer had spread to her brain. I decided to have Cleopatra put to sleep. I never want to see any pet suffer. Cleopatra was a fantastic loving cat.

Memorable And Honor Roll Cats

Memorable and Honor Roll Cats

I have had many cats in my life. All of my cats have made a significant impression on my life.

Flossie was my very first cat. I have a picture of my Father showing her to me in my baby stroller. It was love at first sight for cats for the rest of my life. Flossie would sit with me while I swung in my swing set. She would wait with me while I waited for the school bus. She was a constant and comforting friend.

Blacknose was Flossie’s kitten. She was a beautiful Calico cat. I have a picture of both of us on my tricycle. She has her paws hanging over the handlebars and is looking straight ahead. She was a loving cat like her Mother.

2014-01-06 12.10.36

Blackie and her son Midnight were beautiful cats. Blackie had many kittens in her ten years of life. She was an excellent huntress. When I would sit on the steps of my house, she would always sit in my lap and purr away. Midnight was a shiny and gorgeous black cat. He was a good hunter.

Hoover was a beautiful yellow and white striped female cat. I named her after are vacuum cleaner. I was only five years old then. Hoover put up with me holding her like a five-year-old would.

Schnitzel was a yellow and white cat that tolerated me dressing him in doll clothes. He was very kind and gentle. He lived to be ten years old.

Leonardo was a long-haired yellow cat that would sit with me under a tree while I did my math homework. Whenever I would do my homework outdoors, he would keep me company. He was an excellent lap cat.

Sebastian started growling one evening as he looked out the picture window. He piqued my curiosity, so I looked out the window and saw a man walking down the gravel road at 9:00 PM. I pulled my shade down after that. When I first brought Sebastian into my house as a kitten, he gathered up all of the toy mice and placed them in a nice row. He wanted me to see that he was an excellent hunter. He lived to be thirteen years old.

Red was a red tabby cat that one of my vets gave me. I bought a circle toy with a ball in the middle from Kmart. Red learned to spin the ball around with his left or right paw. He was very proud of his accomplishment. When company came, Red would show off his skills at batting the ball with his feet. He would look at everyone in the room to ensure they were watching him.

My outdoor cat Maggie kept me company while I wrote this post. She purred away and rubbed against the area where I was working.

I have had too many outstanding cats to mention them all. I am sure you have had memorable and remarkable cats, also.

Living A Purposeful Life

Living A Purposeful Life

What Is Your Purpose In Life

You will find your life has many purposes for many people to be impacted by what you do with your life. Take care of what you do and pursue in life. What you do with your life will be seen by many and will affect many people. God has a given purpose for each one of us. If we do not listen and observe, we might not find the true purpose for our lives. God wants us to help spread the good news and be excellent stewards that see and recognize the needs of others. It would be best if you did not have to be paid to help older adults as it should be given to help them out of faith and humanity toward others. God allows all of us 24/7, and he asks for nothing in return except that we accept him as our Father in heaven. As a good steward, you help people in dire need or going through difficult times. If everyone has to be paid to be a good steward, we are genuinely in a bad state regarding our relationship with God and everyone in this World. We are doomed if we no longer reach out to others with Christian love and fellowship.

Your Occupation

Does your occupation genuinely help others, or are you in it just for the money? Money is the root of all evil as it will not keep you company or buy true friends. Money does not care about your well-being or comfort you in sickness and health. You are doomed to failure if money consumes your every waking loss. Remember, it is truly better to give than to receive. I hope your occupation helps enrich the lives of others. If you own a store, pretend you are a customer in your store now and then. You will probably make a few changes after you have put the shoe on the other foot. Be friendly and kind to all that enter your door and thank them when they leave your store. A store without a friendly and knowledgeable staff will be doomed to failure. Know all of your merchandise and stand behind what you sell. Teach others what you have learned, and do not l, et your skills or gifts be buried with you.

Finding Your True Purpose In Life May Take Awhile

It may take a near-death experience for you to find your true purpose in life. One grows closer to God when one goes through a near-death experience. You want to spread God’s good works more than ever. God has saved you from death so you may distribute the good results and let everyone know what God has done for you. You will become more vocal and kind, and it will be easy to talk to others when you know God is always by your side 24/7. Go out and live a purposeful life with God by your side.

Bean & Bistro Located In Northwood

Bean & Bistro Located In Northwood, Iowa

Coffee, Chai Tea, And More

I love the coffee at Bean and Bistro. I have had their lattes, cappuccinos, and regular and decaffeinated coffee. Their coffee has a nice mild flavor, and I love the aroma of the coffee. I love their vanilla chai tea and their hot chocolate. I have had vanilla, pumpkin spice, caramel, and other flavored coffee drinks. All of their coffee is made to perfection. If you ask for a lot of foam in your coffee, you will get that.

Breakfast and Cinnamon Rolls And Cookies

I love their Wednesday burrito breakfast special. I order the burrito with ham in it, which is delicious. I love all the food at Bean & Bistro in Northwood, Iowa. The burrito is filled with hash browns and cheese that I ordered. You can get your burrito with ham, bacon, or sausage, which also comes with sour cream. The special comes with a large cup of coffee and cream if you want it. Their cinnamon rolls are the best cinnamon rolls that I have ever eaten in my life. The frosting is a light brown cinnamon that gives it the right amount of sweetness. I wouldn’t say I like cake icing cinnamon rolls as they are way too sweet, and they do not make those which I am glad for. They also make another outstanding cheesecake cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll has cheesecake on top of it, and I love cheesecake. I generally take home two cinnamon rolls to have later on. I would highly recommend trying their cinnamon rolls as they are mouth-watering. I like to take home some of their cookies to snack on. I have tried their chocolate chip cookies and more.

Lunch

They have various kinds of wraps that come with chips. They have a grilled cheese sandwich which comes with tomato soup. I have tried their soup and loved that it was not spicy, as I wouldn’t say I like spicy foods. Their grilled chicken wrap is delicious. They have smash burgers with caramelized onions, bacon, Swiss cheese, and homemade chips. They have daily lunch specials that are very generous and filling. I love all the food at Bean and Bistro n Northwood, Iowa.

The Owner And Staff

The owner always asked me how my food was, which I appreciated. She works in the kitchen with gloves on while she prepares your food. Her co-worker is an excellent barista, and they both have pleasant personalities. They take time to visit with you and put a smile on your face. I ordered six cinnamon rolls one day for other pothers to pick up when I arrived. They were ready to go when I got there.

The Atmosphere

The restaurant is nicely decorated. I love the antiques in the restaurant, as there are two old coffee grinders and a neat little antique corner table with a mirror. She has pictures of people drinking coffee and old coffee signs on the walls. There are more interesting antique pieces to look at. You can see her care in preparing food in the kitchen while waiting. Take a nice little drive and have coffee, breakfast, lunch, cinnamon rolls, and more at Bean & Bistro in Northwood, Iowa.

Italian Night

She will start Italian night starting Saturday in March from 5 to 8 PM; she will bring your wine or spirits to enjoy while eating Italian food. There will be an uncorking fee for your wine or spirits. What an excellent way to spend a Saturday evening with friends or family.

The Bistro Bed and Breakfast

She has a Bed and Breakfast above her Bistro. You can spend a lovely quiet evening above her Bistro and get served one of her fantastic breakfast items and your choice of hot coffee or other hot drinks that she has.

Stay Anchored To Your Beliefs

Stay Anchored To Your Beliefs

Stay True To Your Beliefs

Do not let someone sway you to do something that contradicts your beliefs. Stay with what works for you, and do not try to copy someone else’s methods or what works for them, as it will likely not be a proper fit for you. Continue with a job you like, and do not keep moving to other jobs constantly. You can move on to a career that stands for what you want to do in your life that will better you and help others.

Throw Out Your Anchor

Never let anyone try to take away what anchors you in your life. God, family, friends, neighbors, jobs, and pets should be positive anchors in your life. Never pull up your anchor without considering it, as your ship may drift away and sink deep onto the ocean floor. Your anchor is like your roots in life. The origins of the tree nourish it and refresh it day after day. Stay nourished and rejuvenated, and then you can help yourself and others you meet on life’s journey.

Your Home Can Be An Anchor In Your Life

We grow very attached to the home that we grew up in. Home is where the heart is. We are familiar with all the sounds that our homes make in the winter months with the temperature changes. We remember family gatherings over the years and happy times growing up. We can see our Grandparents, parents, and children as they were while living in the house. There is no place like home, as the home is a solid anchor.

God Is My Anchor

Without God as my anchor in life, I would drift away into uncharted waters that would be choppy and scary with every current move. God shows us love and mercy and carries us when we cannot walk alone. God has gotten me through every storm that I have encountered in my life. Gods give me an excellent outlook on life even when times are difficult. Make sure you stay anchored to God, and you will never drift into uncharted shark-infested waters. Some people will try to cut off your anchor in life. Stay clear from false prophets and people who promise you the moon, the wind, and the stars, as you know they cannot deliver on their trumped promises. God fulfills every one of his promises to you. Stay anchored, my friends.

The Art Of Becoming The Well Seasoned Traveler Part 2

The Art of Becoming The Well Seasoned Traveler Part 2

Keep Your Passport And Valuables Attached To Your Person

Keep your passport in a passport holder that goes around your neck with a metal rope that cannot be cut. Keep your money in a money belt or have a zippered container to safely pin to your clothing with a place for your passport. Make sure you always have them attached to your person. Make sure your plane tickets are where you can find them in a hurry. Keep a copy of your receipt for your hotel room and vouchers that you will have to see local attractions. Keep phone numbers for your hotel on you if you get lost while walking about, as they can direct you back to your room. Take a cell phone with you that can be used abroad using a different sim card. Keep emergency numbers with you at all times if someone has to tell someone that you are sick and need medical care.

Take Change With You For Using Rest Rooms Abroad

Most restrooms abroad require you to put the exact amount of change in so a bar will lift all, lowing you use the bathroom. They will not let you in if you do not have a chance. Some bathrooms have matrons sitting by the door asking for more money than they should before they will let you in. Stores do not have bathrooms for the general public. Gas stations also charge users for their toilets. Restaurants want you to buy something before they let you use their restrooms. Once, I used a toilet in a drug store, and she locked me in the bathroom. My friend told her she had to let me out, and luckily, she let me out before we missed our bus back to our hotel for the night. The matron barely let us in one restroom, and she started pounding on the door with a billy club. The matron yelled at us in a train station while we used the restroom. One restroom at a restaurant had men and women using the same toilet. Using the bathroom overseas can be quite an experience you will soon forget.

Allow Time For Unexpected Adventures On Your Trip

We had a plane ride over the islands in Hawaii that I genuinely enjoyed. Our guide told us the history of each island, and we toured an orchid greenhouse. He sold one orchid bulb overseas for $10000.00. We went in a submarine and saw fish and giant turtles in the clear waters of Hawaii. We visited Stonehenge in England, which I had always wanted to see. If you see a day trip, make reservations to go on it since you will probably regret that you did not see it if your heart was set on seeing it. We booked several ballets, operas, and concerts, which I enjoyed immensely. Do not be afraid to look at local attractions such as monuments, museums, and much more on the spur of the moment, as that moment may never reoccur.

Muck And Mire

Muck And Mire

Do You Find Yourself  Stuck In The Mire?

Mire is like sinking sand in your life. If you keep trudging along in the mire, you will be trapped in quicksand up to your neck. You may even succumb to the sharp sand and be buried alive. Some people never seem to learn and keep trudging in the mire their entire lives. It would be best to clean yourself from the mud in your life. Clean up your attitude in life. Do things that nourish your soul. Become a respectable person in society.

Muck In  your Life

Forget things that happened years ago that bring you down, and you will become much happier. If you do not let go of the past, the past tries to keep the muck stuck to your inner being. History should be like spilled milk as you clean it up and move on to better and worthwhile pursuits. Some of us seem to always step in the manure in the farm yard instead of watching our steps and changing direction in our life. We must never forget to forgive ourselves for all we have been embarrassed by and made mistakes. No one in this World is without sin. Ask God for forgiveness, and do not make the same mistake again. Pray to God for guidance in your life often.

People That Bring Muck Into Your Life

If someone puts you down all the time and never praises you for the good things you have done, get rid of them as they are muck in your life. Find people that are your cheerleaders, as they will encourage you and lead you onto a better, more fulfilled life. If you enable people to bring muck into your life, they will. If you have a muddy relationship, get out of it ASAP. If you do not respect yourself, other people will not respect you either. Pray to God for help removing all the muck in your life.

Mire Holding You Back

Sometimes we keep in the mire by trying to buck the wind and the weather as we have storms in our lives. When you have batteries in your life, forget about the storm and think about what you can learn from the storm. All of us will have illness or sickness in our lives. We must learn to embrace the disease and not let it empower us. Think of all the things you can do to help others with the time you are given on earth. Do not have a pity party. Pray to God for the path that is the right path for you to use with your illness to help others, and always remember there is always someone that is in worse shape than you are. Never give up the race in life, ev; even a turtle will eventually cross the finish line. An illness can be a great gift from God that will enrich your life considerably, along with the lives of others. Thank you, God, for my ongoing journey in life, for I still have much to learn and much to offer others.

Picking Out A Gentle Cat For Your Family Pet

Picking Out A Gentle Cat For Your Family Pet

Both Of The Cats Parents Should Be Friendly

Cats will generally have the same attitude towards humans that their parents have. If the cat’s parents like to bite, their kittens will be the same way. If the cat comes from feral parents, the cat will grow up trying to avoid humans at all costs. The cat will sometimes try to bite you for no apparent reason because they do not trust people whatsoever. Ask the cat owner that you are thinking about adopting how friendly her parents were. If they said that her parents like hiding, you should consider adopting another cat. If one of the cat’s parents is warm, the cat will be somewhat familiar but remain timid and may not want to be touched or held for long.

A Gentle Cat Is A Must With Small Children In The House

Small children do not know how to carry a cat correctly. You do not want a cat that will bite them and draw blood. Teach your children to handle the cat correctly when you see them doing it wrong. Having a tolerant cat with small children in your home would be best. The cat could scratch them or bite them on the face. If you fail to give your cat a rabies shot, you might have to take your child to the doctor for stitches and rabies shots. Never leave your child alone, even with a very gentle cat, as the cat may get frightened by something and bite. A wild animal could enter your yard and upset your cat. My cats growing up, were very gentle, and I never got bitten or harmed by them. Their parents were friendly and outgoing cats.

Your New Cat Could Live To Be 21 Possibly, And Be A Wonderful Companion For Your Child For Many Years

By taking a new cat into your home, you commit to your new cat’s well-being for her entire life. You take your cat to annual Vet checkups and keep her shots up to date. Your cat needs fresh water and food daily and a warm, draft-free, friendly place to sleep. Your child will learn to care for one of God’s beautiful creatures on earth. Your cat will snuggle up next to your child at night, and she will be their constant companion through thick and thin. Your cat will play with cat toys that your child will toss in the air for them to pounce on. Your cat will entertain the whole family with some of their antics now and then. Cats will lay on your lap while you watch TV or purr away while you study for a test or read a book. They will make sure your home is rodent-free. Cats have saved their owners from gas leaks and fires and even called 911 to protect their owners’ lives. Cats let their owners know when they are about to have a seizure. Cats add to the spice of life. I have had a cat for my life, and I could not imagine a World without a loving cat.

Precious Gifts

Precious Gifts

Family And Friends

Family and friends are indeed precious gifts. Family is there for you through thick and thin. Family and friends are a cheerleader for one another. We respect and admire our family and friends. Our family and friends know our faults and good points, and they accept us for who we are. Family and friends try to uplift you in troubling times. Our families are an extension of ourselves. When everything falls apart, your family is there for you. Time spent with family and friends is enriching; they lift your soul or inner being. A life without family and friends would be the downfall of any man. We are meant to be around people who deeply love and care for us.

God

God gave us the gift of the Bible; if we abide by the teachings in the Bible, we will be kind, caring, loving, peaceful, hopeful, joyful, faithful, graceful, and compassionate. We have the gift of the ten commandments, which tells how to act and behave to live in harmony with God’s teachings. God wants us to love our fellow human beings as we love ourselves. We should help the oppressed, the poor, and anyone suffering. God gave us the gift of Jesus, his son, who died on the cross for our sins so that we can have everlasting life in heaven.

The Gift Of Time

God has given us the gift of life and time on Earth. We can accomplish much with our time on Earth. We don’t know how much time we will have on Earth. Our mission on Earth is to make the World a better place for us, having been here. We can try to keep our planet clean, help protect endangered species of animals and be good Samaritans to all who cross our path in life. Time is precious, so do not waste it on trivial matters. Time does not stand still for any man, so if you want to do something, do it today and do not put it off for another day or a better one, which may not present itself when someone gives you a gift of their time, that is the greatest gift they can provide, as they will never be able to recapture their time.

The Most Precious Gifts You Can Give Loved Ones

You can give your parents the gift of love and always care for and respect them. Unconditional love is the greatest gift you can ever give, as it makes us feel safe. Disagreements, stress, or dissatisfaction cannot shake unconditional love. Unconditional love does not leave when things get tough. You love someone despite their flaws, but you also love them because of their weaknesses. You will never regret the time spent with your parents and all of the fond memories and love you shared growing up in a home that was heaven on Earth. You never will regret the time spent with friends and family and your love and concern for each other. God has unconditional love for us. We love because he loved us. He gives us the ability to love others as he loves. Sing praises to God every day.

The Black Sheep Coffee Baa Located In Greene

The Black Sheep Coffee Baa Located In Greene, Iowa

Awesome Baked Goods

I ordered a vanilla chai latte and an Almond poppy seed muffin. My chai tea was excellent, and my Almond poppy seed muffin was delicious. My muffin was fresh and tasted like almonds, and the poppy seeds added to the delicate taste. Patrons started coming into the coffee shop and bakery. The Almond poppy seed muffins were flying off the sleeves as they were a big hit with everyone. I ordered six almond sticks to take home. I ate one for an evening snack, and it melted in my mouth. I love almond letters; the almond sticks taste like almond letters. They had scones, cinnamon rolls, colossal chocolate chip cookies, baked bread, and much more to take home.

Lunch Items

I ordered a bowl of their hamburger cheesy soup, which I took home to eat for lunch. The soup was packaged in a microwave container that was vented. I also took home four extra large chocolate chip cookies. I heated the soup in my microwave at noon. My soup was excellent as it had a hamburger, broccoli, and cheese. I enjoyed my soup while I watched TV. They sell paninis, Reubens, salads, and breakfast items.

Friendly Staff

The employees were amiable and accommodating. My barista knew how to make a perfect froth for my latte. All of the food items were handled with gloves on. The coffee shop and bakery owner came out to greet me and see how everything was. I appreciate it when the owner comes out to talk to her customers, as it shows she wants everything done to satisfy the customers. She was charming to visit with. The Black Sheep Coffee Baa is located on Traer Street in Greene, Iowa. A lovely coffee shop to go to for a pleasant morning drive or for a beautiful lunch and delicious baked goods to take home and enjoy throughout the week.

Nicely Decorated

I love the little black sheep in the coffee shop, the old antique stove, the pictures of sheep on the walls, and the old coffee signs. The coffee shop is nicely appointed and has a relaxing atmosphere.

My Morning Breakfast

I ate one of the fantastic chocolate chip cookies for breakfast this morning. I figure why not start your day with sweets, as you can work it off throughout your day. I also heated my leftover chai latte. I enjoyed my breakfast today.

Baked Goods I Will Savor Throughout The Week

I will be munching away on my almond sticks, which I love immensely. I will also be eating more chocolate chip cookies. When I run out of baked goods, I will return to The Black Sheep Coffee Baa and Bakery on Traer Street in Greene, Iowa.

I look forward to trying more of their coffee, lunch items, and baked goods.
