Choose Your Path In Life Carefully

Choose Your Path In Life Carefully

The Road To Destruction

If you follow others down the wrong path, your life will be in turmoil. Do not follow others just to be famous or liked by that group. The wrong group of people in your life will lead you down into a dark hole that you will find very hard to escape. If you go out with people who get into trouble and cause trouble for others, you will quickly become like them. Be who you are and stand up for who you are. Think about what God would think about the path you are on in your life.

Taking The Right Path

Sometimes the less traveled path will lead you very far in life. If you follow a herd of wild animals running full speed ahead, they will not see the edge of the path they are about to run over to their ruin. People with blazed trails ahead of you have not always blazed the right track. Some early pioneers tried to find a short path to their final destination without realizing all of the delays and the impending winter storms that would be coming. The short course was not short after all; all of them starved to death except for two. When traveling and lost, it is wise to ask for directions or a Star to take us to our destination. There is no need to waste valuable time and our life on the wrong path.

Plan For The Future Ahead Of Time

All of us are growing older with each passing day. We do not like to think about it, but it is wise to have a will and have your funeral prepaid. Think about your home and how it will be to live in once you are old. It won’t be good for you if all of your bedrooms and toilet are upstairs and you can no longer climb the steps. It would be best to add a bedroom and bathroom downstairs to your house. You should also have a ramp on your home if you have steps for easy access into and out of your home.

Surround Yourself With Like-Minded People

Surround yourself with people who make you feel secure and inspire you daily. Seek out people that you have a common interest with. Join a club that stands for what you believe in. Go to church, get to know your members, and visit and become friends with them. If you are a writer or a blogger, join that club, and you can be a cheerleader for each other.

God Has A Path For All Of Us

Ask God for guidance if you find yourself drifting off the right path. God will help you get back on the way that will help you and others the most. Proverbs 3: 5 – 6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thine ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Jumping To The Wrong Conclusions

Jumping To The Wrong Conclusions

Make Sure You Have All Of The Facts

Make sure you have all of your facts straight before you conclude. Jumping to the wrong decision can gravely damage your reputation and the accused person. Being accused of something you did not do is devastating and demeaning. The guilty party will get off Scot-free when you accuse someone falsely.

The Wrong Place At The Wrong Time

If you happened to be walking by a store when it was just robbed, you might be accused of the crime because you were in the wrong place at the wrong time. If kids do something naughty in the classroom, the kids causing the ruckus will run off, leaving one kid behind to get punished unfairly. My older cats and the Christmas tree. My most senior cat knocked over the Christmas tree, thinking I would accuse the youngest cat, which I did initially. The oldest cat tried it again when I watched around the corner, and the jig was up this time. My youngest cat got extra cat treats that night.

Sentencing The Wrong Person To Prison

People have been sent to prison just because they resemble the perpetrator. If you look at someone in a police lineup, make sure you are 100 percent sure that he is the person who stole your money. No one would want to be in prison most of their life for a crime they did not commit. If you put the wrong person in prison, you have robbed him of what he has done with his life on earth.

Teachers Judging Students Unfairly

If a child has had a grave illness in kindergarten, the teacher should not laugh and make fun of the student. A horrible disease while trying to learn is complex for a young child. She jumped to the wrong conclusion, thinking this child almost dying was stupid. This teacher would laugh at the student whenever they did not know the answer to a question, and the rest of the class would join in. She made kindergarten a living hell for this student. She told this child to stay after school and clean the clock. The student told her she could not because she rode the school bus. The student told a friend to tell the bus driver to wait for her. The bus driver came into the classroom to get the student. The teacher told the bus driver that the student was so dumb they did not know they rode the bus. This teacher would make this student sit in the corner with a dunce hat on whenever it fit her fancy. This student, to this day, does not like people her age and sometimes has difficulty relating to other women. Never pick on a sick student or someone you think is easy prey, as they will have forever-lasting scars they will carry with them forever.

Never Be Unfair To Others

You have no idea what people have been through or are going through today to get to the point they are at in their lives. Sickness, pain, suffering, and all kinds of trials and tribulations come to all of us eventually. Do not jump to the wrong conclusions about anyone.

Life With Purpose

Life With Purpose

Your Job

Does your job fulfill your purpose in life? I hope your job helps others as well as yourself. If you go to work with a job that does not meet you and others, try to find another job that will. Some people work in the same position all their life, and there is no place for advancement. Do not work at a dead-end job that works you literally to death. Your job should make you feel good about yourself and help others.

God’s Purpose For Us

God has given us all unique talents and abilities to help us complete our purpose in life. Some of us help save other people’s lives. Some of us teach others the skills they will need in life. Some of us spread God’s good works often. When we help others and are compassionate for their plight, and bri, ng hope, joy, peace, and love into their lives, we are one of God’s good and caring shepherds. God has a purpose for us from each moment we are born into the world. We must be observant and not miss out on our true purpose in life with God. God is your compass and anchor in life. Follow God on your journey through life.

Family

Our families give us a sense of purpose. We love our families and want the very best for them. We want our children to have a better or easier life than we had. We want our children to have every opportunity that may be open for them to fulfill their dreams in life. We want our children to want nothing in life. Our family is an extension of us. Our heavenly FGod’sr dramatically loves us, our God’s children, and us.

Everything Has A Purpose

We have hammers for hammering nails down tight. And saws for sawing down trees or cutting lumber. We have cats for catching and killing mice. We have house cats because they are an excellent company and make wonderful pets. Rain helps things grow, and it adds to our water supply. There is nothing on earth that does not have a purpose. Some tools get used more than others, but we need them all to complete our tasks effectively and efficiently. Some people do more than others, but we need them all to achieve the mission. God gives us people with vast, diverse abilities to finish our callings from God. It takes a village to get the job done right. Thank you, God, for all the talented people you bring to life.

Cats In Purradise

Cats In Purradise

A Contented Cat

Cats purr away while sleeping in a nice heated bed on a cold winter night. Cats are pleased when they are feed tuna canned in water. I  always give my cats tuna canned water on holidays or birthdays. Kohl loves it when I comb out his loose hair, as he will purr away the whole time I comb it. Garfunkel purrs away anytime he is on my lap or next to me in bed. Conrad loves his hammock bed, his favorite spot for watching TV programs. His favorite TV programs are Gunsmoke and any National Geographic programs that feature animals. My house cats love to watch wild cats in the jungle or birds. Garfunkel loves auto racing and watching Meerkats. Kohl watches TV from one of his circular beds on the floor. My cat’s next door love it when I feed them canned food in the morning. Hilford will let me pat him while he is eating and purring away. Nicole is shy and does not like you being held or touched. She loves sleeping in a wide cat bed as she wants plenty of room to get nice and comfy. Next door cat loves catnip mice, singing birds, and circle game toys. My cats purr while I clean out their litter boxes. Some of them compete on who will use the nice clean box first.

Cats Love To Be The Center Of Your Attention

When I talk on the phone, my cats are vile to get my attention in any way they can. Cats get jealous quickly and do not want you talking to someone on the phone. Cats wish for your attention 24/7. Cats will rub against you to be friendly or when they want something to eat. Sometimes your cat will plop down in front of you, which is not wise of them, but needless to say, they did get your attention. Kittens learn quickly how to get your attention and get what they want to be in paradise. Kohl used to balance on the curtain rods as a young kitten and never once lost his balance. I was always concerned that he would fall off and get hurt. Cats love to hide and seem to love that you are calling them and watching them run around while they are right there the whole time. They want to ensure we are concerned about them when we cannot find them.

Cats Love Purradise

My cats love to be outdoors in the summer months in their outdoor cat playpen. Cats love to be patted on the head and fussed over. I ensure my cats live in paradise by taking them to the Vet for shots and health care. I guarantee they have plenty of food, fresh water, and heated beds in winter. My cats get new toys, bedding, and more to make their lives. My cats are greatly loved and cared for; they are the center of my attention and family.

Helpful Hands

Helpful Hands

Helping Hands

All of us need helping hands in our lives. We may need help mowing our lawns or shoveling our snow. If we did not have to help hands, we would have long grass and weeds in our yards or our steps and sidewalks covered in snow. We are God’ss helping hands when we help those who can no longer help themselves due to health or other problems. Helping others gives one a wonderful feeling. If we were not God’s stewards, many weeds would be growing on our path in life.

Giving Hands

Give, and it will be given unto you – Luke 6 – 38. When you treat people right, they will generally treat you right. When you give to the less fortunate, you are helping a child of God. You may be on the receiving end of someone offering to you someday. When you give something to someone, think that what I am giving them represents God or how you want to be defined. Give others something that you like and not something cheap or worn out. Make sure your giving hands always represent the best in you. How you act and what you give others says volumes about your giving hands.

Faithful Hands

I hope everyone has faithful hands. When you lose faith, you have lost everything good in your life. Ask other people for support when you are struggling with your faith. Pray to God to help you get your confidence back. Without faith in your life, your task seems worthless. You must always think that the plane you are on will safely land and not crash, as that is faith. Keep your faith, as things will get better eventually.

Teaching Hands

Our parents teach us many things that will help and take us far. Everyone that teaches and enriches our lives is someone to be admired. We learn a great deal from books that have been written by someone’s hand. The hand of God is referred to as sitting on the right side of God and is a special honor. God is the most outstanding teacher. The Lord of Heaven’s armies is an excellent teacher who gives the farmer great wisdom. Isaiah 28: 29. Our teachers we have in our lives teach us many things that we will use in our daily living throughout our entire lives. We are never too old to learn as we have better time management skills, are more disciplined, and have technology on our side.

Joyful, Kind, Loving, Caring, and Hopeful Hands

Doctors and nurses help us while we are sick by caring for us and helping us feel like our old selves again. Food bank workers prepare food for those that are less fortunate with their hands. Spouses love each other and care deeply for each other well being. God loves all of his children deeply. Kind people help you when you feel downtrodden by listening to your concerns and helping you overcome hurdles safely. Be joyful in life and hopeful, and let your light shine in the storms of someone’s life so they can see the sunshine after the storm.

Asthma In Cats

Asthma In Cats

Asthma can be deadly if it is left untreated in your cat. Your cat’s airway can constrict so much that he may stop breathing. Your pet cat can breathe through his mouth if his nostrils get plugged in because of respiratory issues. Take your cat to your local veterinarian for a complete exam to find out your cat’s diagnosis ASAP.

Cats can have a terrible cough that sounds like they are coming down with pneumonia. Your cat may start vomiting every day. Your cat may make a horrible distressing sound, like he is in horrific pain right before coughing loudly. When your seemingly healthy cat presents odd symptoms, take him to your vet for blood work until you get to the root of the problem.

Cats can get so stressed that they develop Asthma. Some cats get an asthmatic attack from dust, scented or dusty cat litter, perfume, smoke, mold, stress, and a dry house in winter. If you start using a new scented cat litter, you should stop using it. Some cat litters have so much dust that it can cause an asthmatic attack. Strange people in your house, such as a repairman, could cause an asthmatic attack in your feline friend. Never smoke around a cat with Asthma.

Have a place where your cat can rest and relax that is peaceful and quiet. Your vet will most likely give your cat a steroid shot that helps open your cat’s airway, making it comfortable for him to breathe. Steroid shots last 4 to 6 weeks before your cat gets another shot. Asthmatic inhalers for people also help cats. It would be best to buy a mask for your cat that the inhaler fits into. Keep your home at a pleasantly warm temperature. Cold air can make it harder for your cat to breathe.

A new cat food could cause an asthmatic attack. If our house is dirty or moldy due to flooding, have your house professionally cleaned for your cat’s overall health along with your health and well-being. You probably should have the vent work on your furnace cleaned out. Always be attentive to any new issues your cat may have with breathing. Your cat depends on you and your vet for his overall health. Good health to you and your feline friend.

Goodwill Toward Men

Goodwill Toward Men

Christmas Season

The Christmas season makes us think of goodwill toward men. Peace on Earth goodwill toward men. Christ came into the earthly world not only to bring peace but to bring humanity. The Christmas season celebrates the birth of Christ, a spiritual leader whose teachings form the basics of religion. Christmas became a federal holiday in the USA in 1870. We must never forget that Christ is the reason for the Christmas season. Christmas is not about celebrations and what kind of gifts you might receive.

Show Goodwill Toward Men

Love, show mercy and walk humbly with God. When you see someone needing help, always help them without expecting something in return. Be kind to people and have empathy for what they are going through. Help others to the best of your ability, as you may have health issues. Show kindness and tenderness in all of your acts and deeds with others. Be a cheerleader for people and never put other people down. Be compassionate, understanding, and caring, and always put yourself in the other person’s shoes. Do not Judge others, for God is the only judge of man.

Lift The Underdog

Suppose you see someone being made fun of; put the offender in his place, and tell him to stop what he is doing. If someone is sick and cannot keep up with the rest of the group, walk beside them. The underdog may be a great leader someday as he will know how not to treat others. If someone is crying, ask them if they may like to talk to you about what is troubling them. Send cards and letters to people who live alone or have lost a loved one lately. Praise people for a well-done job, as it will make their day. Put a smile on someone’s face every day. Be slow to anger and quick to forgive.

Give Your Time To Others

Do not charge older adults for helping them as they cannot afford to pay out large amounts of money when they made only 4.00 dollars an hour or fewer years ago. If you do not help them unless you are paid, you do not have a lot of compassion for the plights of others. Remember, you will be old, and the money you have won’t have much of its value left, and I am sure you will want a compassionate person to help you out. I have heard of people charging older adults $20.00 to $46.00 an hour to help them buy groceries or clean their houses. They should be ashamed of themselves. The people they are working for worked 4 hours or one whole day for what they want for just one hour’s work. Volunteer to help people with health problems mow their lawns, rake their leaves, wash their clothes, get groceries to pick up their medicine, and so much more. I enjoy helping others to the best of my abilities, and I do not expect or want any payment from them, and I find it very rewarding. Show goodwill to others by treating them as you wish to be treated someday.

Scripture

Luke 2  – 14   Glory be to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.

The Art Of Becoming The Well Seasoned Traveler

The Art Of Becoming The Well Seasoned Traveler

Plan Out Your Trip

Have a general idea of what you want to see and do on your trip, and do not pack too many activities into one day, as you do not wish to be worn out and tired at the start of your journey. If a museum closes that you had planned to see, look at something else that might pique your interest. Museums do remodel and rearrange now and then, and must be completed to do that. Sometimes Forrest fires will prevent you from seeing something. Drive to a park and look at the beautiful scenery there. I love to look at and visit historical places. Do not get bent out of shape if you have to change your plans for the day, as that is just part of life.

Packing Your Suitcase

When you first start traveling, you pack everything but the kitchen sink. My first suitcase was vast and hard to maneuver in small areas. My bag got caught in a train door and almost became a suitcase of two cities before I ranked it clear from the train’s entrance. Trying to move it down the train isles was virtually impossible. I soon packed a sizeable carry-on suitcase for my main bag, and I did not miss a thing as I soon found out I could get by without all those extra items I used to pack in my giant suitcase.

Expect A lot Of Delays.

You will wait a long time at the airport before your plane departs. Getting through security may take up to two hours alone. Take a book to read, have a cup of Joe, and relax. Pay attention to potential gate changes and different times of departure. It will take a while for you to collect your luggage after you land. It takes time for your taxi to come and take you to your place of destination. Buses may run behind schedule occasionally, so be patient, wait, and be friendly and kind to people, as they cannot help with traffic delays. If the weather is terrible, you must stay overnight and hope the weather is better so you can fly out the next day. One time we had to drive home the next day from the airport because the weather would not improve shortly.

Take A Lot Of Pictures

I love to look at pictures of my trips in the USA and abroad. You can relive your special moments through your photographs. I take pictures of architecture, beautiful scenery, flowers, historic homes, animals, monuments, and the friends I travel with.

Buying Treasures And Gifts

I collect crosses that do not take up much room and are easy to carry with you on a trip. If you buy many items for gifts or family members, find your nearest post office and send them home, so you are not burdened trying to maneuver with them on your trip. Try to buy small items that do not take up much room. Do not over-pack your suitcase; some countries make you pick and choose what you want to keep or throw away until your bag reaches the required weight limit.

Be Aware Of Your Surroundings

Keep an eye on your luggage and purse at all times. One woman in England left her bag under her chair at a buffet, it went missing along with her passport, and she could not get home for ten days even though she was on tour with us. No one wants their beautiful trip to end that way. God bless you, and have a safe and memorable trip,

Transitions

Transitions

Transitions Are The Continuous Process Of Change

We start living with our parents, attending school, and making friends. Our parents may have to relocate, and we must go to a new home, make new friends, and get used to our new surroundings. We continue to grow and learn and become more mature acting human beings. We know from others daily that we are alive on Earth, and hopefully, we will put our talents to good use.

Going To College

Leaving home for the first time is a big transition in any young person’s life. If you decide to live in the dorm, you will have to get used to living with a roommate or two. You will feel homesick until you start to make some friends in college. You will have to cook, clean up after yourself, and conduct yourself as a young adult. You will have to manage your time wisely, study for tests, and get your assignments in on time. Hopefully, you will have a fulfilling job that will take you far in life and help better the lives of others.

Getting Married

You have dated the love of your life for one year and decided to set the wedding date. Getting married is a big responsibility; you must learn to give and take to make your marriage work. You will get into arguments occasionally and have to agree on compromises.

Buying Your First Home

Do not spend more than what you can afford on a home. A big mortgage will drown you in debt for the rest of your life. You can find a reasonably priced and well-maintained older home as a suitable starter home. Older homes are constructed of much better materials, and most of them have beautiful woodwork compared to newer homes, and they have more character and charm about them.

Having A Baby

Before you have a baby, ensure you are financially sound, as raising a child into adulthood takes a lot of money. You should send your children to college if you want them to be successful and support themselves in life. Each parent should help raise a child and contribute equally to the child’s life.

Changing Jobs

The average person has 11.7 jobs in their lifetime. New jobs should offer a step up for advancement, or you might as well keep your old job. Relocating because of a new job can be very costly. You must think my spouse will also be able to get a job if we move. If you have children, you might not want to move until the end of the school year.

Going To Assisted Living

If you need help with things and do not think you can do what you want in your home, you may want to consider assisted living. You may have health problems or are not steady on your feet anymore. None of us ever want to leave our homes, but that time will come for all of us eventually.

God And Transitions

Life is full of transitions. Some of them are joyful, and others are painful. We let go of the familiar things in our energy and venture into the unknown. If you are going through a transition, ask God for help and praise and thank him, for God will amaze you with his presence in your life. We will have many changes in our lives, and God will help keep us on the right path that will help everyone the most.

Scriptures:

Deuteronomy 31: 6

Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them, for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee, he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Philippians 4: 6 – 7

Be careful with nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Cats And Christmas Trees And Decorations Decorations And More

Cats And Christmas Trees, Decorations And More

Cats And Your Christmas Tree

If you put up a live tree, make sure you do not mix a powder with water to help preserve your tree. Cats have been known to drink the water under your live tree, and the water may kill your cat, or he will be very sick for a long time. Cats love to climb trees; your tree will fall to the groundbreaking decorations and make a big mess. Some cats may try to eat the pine needles, which will lodge in their intestines and cause a blockage. Vacuum up any fallen needles immediately to prevent that from happening to your cat. Pine tree needles can be fatal and cause liver damage to your pet cat. Ensure you cover up the water under your live tree so your cat cannot drink the toxic water. I prefer artificial trees, but cats can still knock them over. I like small ceramic trees that are molded with decorations, and they have internal lights that cannot cause any damage to your cat.

Cats And Decorations

Never put tinsel on your Christmas tree. Your cat may choke or have intestinal distress from eating and chewing on tinsel. If your cat chews on your Christmas tree lights, he can be badly burned or electrocuted. Broken glass and ornaments, and metal hangers can injure your cat. The fewer the decorations on your tree, the better off you and your cat will be. I like using plastic, cloth, or felt ornaments on a tree as these should be safe if your cat takes them off of your tree. I had a glass ornament fall off a tree once, which shattered into many small pieces before I had cats. If a cat eats a tree bulb that you had out to replace one when it burned out, your cat could die from the cuts; the bulb would cause going down his throat. Be extra cautious with tree decorations and lights if you must use them, and have a Dear beloved pet cat. You don’t want a Christmas without your cat because the decorations or lights killed him.

Christmas Packages

Do not put fancy ribbons on your packages under the tree as your cat could swallow the ribbon, and it can get stuck in their stomach and intestines; they will need immediate attention, Do not tie yarn on any packages as it can get stuck in the back of the throat or inhaled. If your cat gets wrapped up in wool, he could lose his blood supply to that body part. Be very careful of anything bright and shiny that you may put on your package, as cats are attracted to bright shiny objects that may cause permanent harm or death.

Christmas Toys For Your Cat

When buying toys for your cat, make sure they are large enough so your cat cannot swallow them. Please do not give your cat any toy with a battery in it as your cat may chew on it and get battery acid in its system that will cause corrosive damage as they are toxic to your cat. Some cat toys come with batteries in them that are pet approved. Give your cat toys that are meant for cats. Some cats like to play with sponges and empty toilet paper rolls, which is fine unless your cat starts to eat the sponge. If your cat eats plastic, it must be removed by you. He will need surgery if you cannot remove the plastic from your cat. I hope you and your cat have a safe, healthy, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
