My cats like to eat a little bit of fresh or dried catnip now and then. Cats love a little tuna canned in water or a wonderful cat treat. I like all of my cat food made in the USA or Canada. I like Grain free cat food and dye-free cat food. I prefer the smaller pieces of dry cat food because they are easier for my cats to chew up and swallow. My cats prefer chicken, turkey, tuna, and beef-flavored cat foods. I like freeze-dried cat treats, which I can put in a toy they have moved around to get pleasure dispensed out of for them to eat. Cats get some exercise when they have to work at getting their cat treats out of the dispenser.

I like stainless steel heated water bowls that can be taken apart, and you can replace the heating element. The plastic heated water bowls do not last long, and when the aspect wears out, you have to throw the bowl away since it does not come apart. I have used a stainless steel water bowl with no issues whatsoever for eight years. I like all of my pet food containers to be stainless steel or pottery pieces that are easy to clean and maintain for your cat’s optimal health. Do not leave the cat food out for your cat all day long if he seems to be putting on too much weight. Set up a schedule for your cat. Leave the cat food for thirty minutes in the morning and again in the afternoon.

Some cats exercise a lot, while others rest most of the day. My cats love to run up and down my steps. I keep my litter boxes in my basement. They get exercise when they have to use their litter box.

Keep a toy box out with many different cat toys in it. You will be amazed at how often you notice him picking his favorite toy from the pack. Once in a while, he will play with something completely different. Buy a circle toy with a mouse or a ball in it. My cats exercise extensively by batting the mouse or hopping around.

Play games with your cat. Throw a ball, and he will chase after it. Buy a laser light, watch him chase, and try to catch the light. I bought a remote control mouse, and my cat would run after it. Buy a stick with feathers on the end, and he will jump up and down to catch the feathers.

A lot of cats are nighttime eaters. Take their food away entirely at night. Eating at night without exercise until morning will put on the extra pounds.

If nothing seems to help, your cat loses weight, buy weight-maintenance cat food. You can buy it at a pet store or from your vet.

Cats like a variety of toys to play with. They get bored with the same old cat toy day after day. Cats like bright-colored balls to chase around the house after or throw up in the air. I purchased the robotic cat Zoomer, and my cats were fascinated with him. They would follow after him when he purred and moved his tail around. Zoomer made a loud hissing noise that shocked my cats for a little while. They decided the robotic cat was not so bad after all, as he was not in competition for any of their cat treats.

I let my cats choose the toys they want to play with for the day. I put all their cat toys back in their box. Some of the toys from yesterday reappear the next day with different toys. Sometimes a toy they seem to have forgotten about will be a new highlight of interest for them once again.

I buy a lot of my cat toys online and at my local pet stores. I like to watch demos of cats playing with cat toys in stores or online as it gives me some idea of how my cats may interact with that particular cat toy. I hope you and your cat will be entertained for hours with your cat’s new toys.

My cats get overly anxious when I go on a vacation. My cats may stop eating or throw up what they have eaten. I put my suitcase out so my cats can look at it several days before I leave on my vacation. My cats can get used to the fact slowly by seeing my suitcase sitting out that I will be going soon. I gave the Petstages Tower of Tracks to my cats on Christmas day. The toy has three brightly colored balls, which immediately attracted my cat’s attention. The color of the track that holds the balls is orange. Cats love to play with toys that have bright colors. Garfunkel did not wait for me to get it out of the packaging before he started to play with it.

Conrad was my first cat that played with the Petstages Tower of Tracks toy for cats. Conrad played with the toy for at least ten minutes before my cat Kohl entered. One cat would bat the ball while the other would bat it back again. They played with the Tower of Tracks toy for at least 20 minutes.

Kohl started playing with the Track toy again in the afternoon. He batted away at the ball vigorously and acted like he was a kitten again.
