We Must Never Give Up Hope

We Must Never Give Up Hope

Hope For A Brighter Tomorrow

We all have a bad day now and then, and you may feel like throwing in the towel. You may have lost someone very Dear to you. It is natural to grieve the death of someone Dear to us. Suffering is part of the healing process. Maybe you got fired from your job or had to move, and now you need to find a new job. You expect to see a new job soon, which seems to be taking forever. You may have given up hope in finding a job, and then your phone rings, and they say your job application has been accepted. We hope for the best in our lives. We hope our children will be safe and pray for those we know who are sick or in pain. Hope helps keep dreams alive. We may plan out the perfect day, and then a storm comes along and spoils our plans. We must reschedule for a later date and hope the weather will be pleasant that day. When something terrible happens, do not argue with God or rebel against him; your pain will only worsen.

Hope In The Future

We read lots of negative articles in the paper about the future of the World. We have read about climate change and the melting icebergs and wild animals that are almost extinct or have lost their hunting grounds due to climate change. We must keep up our hope that God will help us find a solution that will help save our planet and all of its inhabitants. If we cut back on greenhouse gases, recycle more, make more electric cars, and do not cut down more trees than necessary and replant what we cut down, we are on the right path to saving Mother Earth. Things in the future are the property of hope.

Keeping Your Hope Alive When You Are Sick

I know God is always by my side in good and bad times. God helps me keep my hope alive. If I am sick or heavily burdened, I turn to God for help; I ask God to heal me and make me feel whole again. I pray to God without ceasing to help friends and sick relatives. Put your hope and trust in God; he will never fail you. Hope is an expectation or a desire for a sure thing to happen. God knows what you hope for and makes your hopes come true.

Hope And God

Put your hope in God, for I will praise Him, my Saviour and My God” ( Psalm 42-5). Hope is a small word, but it is one of the most powerful. Why? Because in hope lies the human soul’s power to turn to God and live as if His promises will come true. ” Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord” ( Psalm 31:24). My Life is in you, Lord; my hope is in you, Lord, and my strength is in you, Lord. It’s in you; it’s in you. I love the words to that beautiful song.

I Adopted Two Cats Tammy And Tigress

I Adopted Two New Cats Tammy And Tigress

Tammy

It is a beautiful bi-colored black and white cat. Her Mother was one of my cats years ago, and her Mother lived to be 23 years old. I hope Tammy has that gene for longevity in her DNA makeup. Tammy lived outdoors on a farm, and she was an excellent huntress. I would see Tammy walking around on the farm where she used to live, her owner could no longer care for her, so I adopted her. I took her to my Vet, and he gave her all of her shots, wormed her, checked her feline leukemia, spayed her, got rid of her ear mites, and had her front feet declawed. She has tamed considerably in ten days; she will let me pat and touch her without making a single sound. She and her daughter Tigress sleep next to each other. They have a blanket and towels to curl up in. I have been feeding them canned cat food daily, and they seem very contented. Tammy used my litter box for her in the room with no problems.

Tigress

Tigress is one year old, and she did not want to be touched or handled at all when I first got her home. She would try to claw you, and she would hiss at you. After she started getting canned food to eat every day, she became a very affectionate young female cat. She always sleeps next to her mom for comfort in her new surroundings. She had the same treatments at my Vet as her Mother did. She let me pat her on the head today, and she was not bothered by my touching her on the head whatsoever. Tigress is a light gray colored tuxedo cat with a little pink nose; she is a very attractive-looking young female cat. Tigress knew what the litter box was for immediately.

Tammy And Tigress Are In a Small Room For The Introduction Period

Both newcomers are in a small room where my other cats can smell them under the door. You never want to just let your new cat family members into your group of older cat family members. If cats are not introduced slowly, fights will break out, and it will not have a good outcome for one or more of your cats. Cats are territorial creatures, and every cat must figure out their place in the household so no one steps on someone else’s boundaries. Another cat might claim a particular chair in your house, and if the newcomers sit in that chair, they will have a rude awakening. Some cats have a unique cat hammock that is theirs or a specific toy and is unwilling to share it with anyone. Cats have sure heated cat beds they will share with a particular group of cats, and no one else may enter through that door. It takes a while for the cats to become one happy cat family. Spend much time patting your older cat family, so they feel left out. Spend a lot of time loving your new cat family where your older cats cannot see you doing so, Be patient with your cats; they will be one big happy cat family with the time and loving care. I have a total of 14 cats altogether. I have 3 in my house and eleven in another place. Adopt a cat, save a life today, and have a fabulous feline friend for many years.

Keeping Your Promises

Keeping Your Promises

Keep Your Promises

If you tell someone you promise to do something for them, make sure you follow through with it. When you do not keep your promises, it shows a lack of respect for that person. If you tell a friend, you will take them out for lunch. You better take them out for lunch if you respect them and your friendship. Do not extend yourself too far, and do not do more than you can in one day. If you keep breaking promises with friends soon, you will not have any friends. You can count on and depend upon a friend in good and bad times. You have to be a friend to have a friend. Promises are not made to be broken. They are made to be kept.

Promises At Work

If you tell your boss you can complete a job on time, it better be completed on time. If you commit yourself to a job, do what is expected of you to the best of your ability. Do not expect another worker to do their job and yours. Keep your promise to your boss and finish your work promptly and businesslike manner. Do not call in sick when you are not ill. If you want to have fun and waste time, do it in your own time and not at the expense of others. I would fire an employer that came in late to work or said they did not want to work today. Many people would love to have a job and keep their promises to do all of the work that is expected of them. Please do not take your job for granted, as it may be taken by someone who keeps their promises to work hard at everything they do.

Promises Kept

By keeping your promises, people will respect you and always know you will come through for them. If I tell someone I will have a post written in one week, it will be done before the end of the week. If I promise to fix something for someone, it will be designated as I would fix it myself. I feel good when I have helped others and kept my promises. A promise has a lot to say about you as a person.

Promises To God

God is our heavenly father, and we should respect him with reverence and honor him every day of our life. God can be trusted to keep his promise. We should keep the ten commandments and remember they are not called the ten suggestions. God Promises us salvation, riches in heaven, joy, peace and love, and eternal life. God always keeps his promise to us, and we should never take any oath to God lightly. Any commitment to God should be kept and completed to perfection, as God is perfect in what he promises us. God is our Heavenly father, and he gave his only begotten so we shall not perish and will have eternal life.

Spring Cleaning

Spring Cleaning

Bedroom Spring Cleaning

I remove all the dresser scarves and wash or shake them out outdoors. I remove items from the room and place them in the hallway. I use a wood floor polish wax that makes the floor glisten. I give everything a thorough dusting. I remove everything from the closet floor and sleeves to clean the closet well. I wash the bedding and shake out the pillows or wash them. I constantly scour the light fixtures and put new batteries in the smoke alarms. I pass the cloth drapes and hang them wet to dry on their curtain roads. Getting rid of unworn clothes in the closet or the chest of drawers is a good idea. I like to put new shelf paper in the trunk of drawers.

Bathroom Spring Cleaning

I remove everything from the medicine cabinet and throw away expired medicines or ointments. I have another cupboard in my bathroom that gets dusted after I remove the things. I clean the fixtures every week with my regular cleaning. It is a good idea to clean up the shower if you have one. You can soak your shower head in vinegar and remove some of the lime.

Kitchen Spring Cleaning

Clean off your Formica countertop with a bleach solution. Take everything out of your cupboards and wipe out the cabinets. You should put new shelf paper in your cabinets. Get rid of unused pots, pans, dishes, glasses, and kitchen utensils. Etc. Dust under the stove and refrigerator. Clean all of the sleeves in your refrigerator and throw out old containers. Wash your potholders or buy new ones. I put new bulbs in my light fixture. Now is an excellent time to put new batteries in your smoke alarm or replace it.

Living Room Spring Cleaning

I vacuum under all of the furniture, and I vacuum next to the wood surround. I clean all the tables and shake out the dresser scarves. I take things out of wood cabinets and dust, replace them, and throw out something I have not looked at for ages. I remove my books from the bookcase and dust the books off on top. Anything with glass in it gets cleaned with glass cleaner. I vacuum off my drapes, or I take them to the cleaners.

Dining Room

I have a corner cabinet that has a few things in it. I wash off the items in a dishpan filled with water that I bring into the dining room. I remove all the figurines from my whatnot shelf and clean the glass pieces with Windex window cleaner. The carpet gets a good vacuuming, and so do the drapes. I use lemon oil on all of my wood furniture as it preserves the wood and makes it shine.

Basement

I wash the cement floor in my basement with Lysol cleaner. I remove everything from shelves, and they get dusted or washed off. I unplug my freezer and give it a good defrosting. I store the food in several coolers. I clean out my washing machine with a lemon scent cleaner that you throw into your washing machine on its regular cycle. I purchased a dryer vent brush that works beautifully for cleaning out your dryer vents. I ensure I have new batteries in my smoke and carbon monoxide detector. I clean out my canned food cupboard and any other cabinets or cupboards.

Closets And Windows

I remove the towels from my linen closet and remove the worn ones. I clean my coat closet and remove old coats I no longer wear. I have a wardrobe just for blankets, and I have them in plastic containers to keep them in the best condition possible. My windows open easily, and I can wash out the bottom section of the window and clean the inside and outside of my windows with any cleaner.

Garage Spring Cleaning

I sweep out all the filth that gathers on the garage floor during winter. I remove everything from the floor and use a large shop vacuum, which does an excellent job. I have also used a mop and soapy water on my garage floor. Make sure you lubricate your garage doors or hire someone to do it for you so they will be in tip-top shape. My house smells incredible after its spring cleaning, and I feel a great sense of accomplishment. Happy Spring Cleaning!

Victory

Victory

Victory In Life

When you die, will people say you had Victory in life? If you accomplished a lot that helped others and benefited humanity, people would tell you had Victory in life. Victory is feeling comfortable with who and what you stand for in life. I hope you accomplish much with the life that God has given to you. Every day strive to become a better you. Reach out to people often and genuinely care for their well-being. Do not be nice to people because you think something is in it for you. Be nice to people because you want to in Christian love and concern for them. Money grabbers who try to take advantage of people will not have Victory in this life or the next life. Life is not about money. It is about friendship, family, and putting yourself in the other person’s shoes. Suppose you can see yourself in another person’s predicaments., Then you have true Victory in life. Help all you know that need a helping hand now and then. Do not let your tongue say hurtful and nasty words; there is no victory in that. A wise man knows when to keep his mouth shut, and a foolish man will rant and rave to no end. Be gentle, kind, considerate, trustworthy, faithful, and live a life of Victory to the finish line.

Victory In Death

Jesus made it possible for us to have Victory in death. Jesus died on the cross for our sins so we may live on into eternity with God, our creator. The final form of Victory over death is our resurrection. Our bodies will decay and rot, but our souls shall live on forever in the house of the Lord. The arch of the Gospel rests upon two pillars the death of Christ and the bodily resurrection of Christ. When a Christian loved one dies, we celebrate the end of that believer as a victory. Victory believes in God with all of your heart and soul. With God as our constant companion, success will surely come our way. God is light as he is not a light or a kind of light; he is light itself. God is light, and there is no darkness in him. God is the light of the world.

Scriptures:

1 Corinthians 15:51 – 55

Behold, I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and his mortal body must put on immortality; when the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the human parts put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:

“Death is swallowed up in victory.”  ” O death, where is your Victory? “O death, where is your sting?”

Some Cat Health Problems

Some Cat Health Problems

Liver Cancer

I had a beautiful light cream-colored cat with socks and boots that I named Philmoor. I found him in the Perkins parking lot in my hometown. He was very gentle and affectionate. He purred the minute he arrived at my farm. He lived in the house next door for a while and soon was moved to my house. He was always a very energetic and outgoing cat. He was always very healthy; when he was ten years old, he seemed to want to sleep all the time. I noticed he was losing weight, so I took him to my Vet, who said he had liver cancer. My Vet told me that his ears and the inside of his mouth were yellow. I had not noticed because of his light color. I had him put to sleep for one week. He was a wonderful and kind-loving cat. I missed Philmoor very much.

Breast Cancer

I had a purebred Siamese cat by the name of Sugar. She always wanted all the attention she could get from you. She was a moody cat, but I loved her dearly. She loved to play with toy mice and sponges. I noticed a mass by her breast; my Vet removed it when she was 14. She kept getting more groups, and when she was 16 years old, she did not have much energy anymore, and my Vet put her to sleep. Sugar was my first housecat, and I missed her dearly.

Ear Cancer

I had a lovely, marked calico cat named Champayne; she had several kittens on my farm and was an excellent mother cat. She was very active through the years and an excellent mouser. I first noticed a bump in her ear and thought another animal had bitten her. The mass in her ear kept growing, and blood would come out when she shook her head. My Vet said the group would spread to her brain, so I did what I had to do. She was a loving cat, and I enjoyed her for ten years.

Tumors Or Cyst

My house cat Conrad had a large cyst on his tail removed. The cyst was released, and it did not affect his seat. My outdoor Tom cat Willford had a large cyst on his face, and he let me remove it with a scalpel. There was a large mass of fur in the middle of that cyst. Kohl had a large tumor that had to be removed, or it would have covered over his eye if left untreated.

Kidney Problems

Some cats have major kidney problems and must eat exceptional cat food. Some cats refuse to eat kidney food, so you have to feed them whatever they will eat. Eventually, you will have to have your cat put to sleep as their back legs will become wobbly, and the kidneys no longer filter out the waste. God bless our cats and help them with their health problems.

False Accusations

False Accusations

Unjustly Accused

If you are unjustly accused of doing something you did not do, it is hard to clear your name of the false accusation. People like to believe facts that are not proven, and the story gets told repeatedly. The story gets more elaborated as it is said over time. Never accuse anyone of anything until you have all your facts straight and evidence to support your claims. A false accusation against someone may cause them to lose their job. Think of how you would feel if you were accused of doing something you did not do. You would feel terrible that people were accusing you of something you did not do, and people would be whispering behind your back and saying there goes to the person that did such and such. It is better to keep your mouth shut and say nothing rather than accuse someone innocent of wrongdoing. If you come to court with unclean hands, you are no better than the person you have charged with misconduct. A babysitter accused a mother of child abuse, and the mother lost custody of her child. The child had a rare disease and would bleed and bruise easily because of the illness. Finally, the mother got her child back again. You do not know people’s health conditions, so say nothing until you have your ducks in a row.

Accusations Of Various Kinds

Do not judge someone, as only God is the judge of man. People want to feel others to help them boost their low self-esteem. Kids will accuse other kids of taking their notebooks when they know full well; they lost them on purpose to get out of doing an assignment in school. They make sure they accuse a shy and quiet student who will be too afraid to defend himself. Some teachers have a student they love picking on and making their life a living hell in school. They may accuse the student of doing something they did not do and make them sit in the corner with a dunce hat on. One teacher told the bus driver that the student that rode the bus was so stupid they did not remember that they were to be on the bus at a particular time. She failed to tell the bus driver that she had made the student stay after school to clean the clock. If someone unjustly accuses you, stand up to them, and they will be the ones people will see, for their true colors will shine through. Some people delight in making trouble, for others stop them. Good will always prevail over evil in the end. The accuser will become the accused in the future. God watches what we do and how we act around others every day that we are on earth. Be kind and shut your mouth until you have all your facts and figures. Never accuse someone unjustly.

Cats With Nine Lives And More

Cats With Nine Lives And More

My Cousins Cat

His cat is now 23 Years Old and still going strong. I gave her to him as a kitten. Her Mother, Trisha, lived to b 18 years old on my farm. They are part Siamese, Himalayan, and domestic shorthair. Trisha was a brilliant cat. She would look both ways six times before crossing a road. My cousin lives on a well-traveled highway, and luckily, she taught all of her kittens how to cross a busy highway. My cousin’s cat looks good, except she lost the tips of her ears last year. She lives in a heated house inside a dog house and has a heated water bowl. She also has her daughter, granddaughter, grandson, and great-grandson, which she curls up in the wild. She goes out hunting daily and lets her grandchildren play with her tail. My cousins’ old cat died recently, and she is greatly missed.

Trisha

Trisha would hold her own with my big Samoyed dog. She was able to run down rabbits and catch them until she was about 16.5 years old. She was a great huntress, and so were her kittens. She was an excellent Mother cat and never lost a single kitten. When she was 15, she had one kitten in December, and she kept him warm, and he survived. I think she had about 90 kittens in her lifetime. She lived to be 18 years old. I found her dead outside one summer morning. Trisha was a tortoise shell-colored cat. She was greatly missed.

Sugar

Sugar was a purebred Chocolate point Siamese house cat. I adopted her when she was eight years old. She was moody, but I loved her very much. She would sleep in my bed at night and purr away. She loved to sleep in a winter vest I had with just her head sticking out in the winter months. Sugar loved to go outdoors and walk around. She loved birds. We had a pet parakeet, and she would listen to him sing for hours in his cage. When my Mother died, she sat on the tub’s edge and cried for days. Sugar got breast cancer, and I had to have her put to sleep at age 16. She was my first house cat, and I missed her terribly.

Ginger

Ginger was a Lynx point Siamese cat. She was beautiful, and she had a delightful disposition. Ginger would sleep on my bed at night. She loved Fancy Feast canned food and would come running when I said Fancy Feast. Ginger liked playing with toy mice. Ginger also loved to go outdoors for a while. Ginger was my alarm clock. She would wake me up at six on the morning dot, which was very handy. I adopted Ginger from an animal shelter as a kitten. Ginger was a very kind and well-mannered cat. A bat got in my house when they were installing a new roof. It landed in my hair, and I freaked out. It got out of my hair on its own, and Ginger went into action and got the bat pinned down for me so I could get it outdoors. Ginger was 16 when she did that, exhausted and out of breath after that ordeal. Ginger got very thin, so I had her put to sleep when she was 18 years old. I missed Ginger terribly.

Red

Red was a red tabby, and he was brilliant. My Vet gave Red to me, and he found him on a golf course as a kitten in December. If you said you wanted to go outdoors, Red would come running. He was an excellent lap cat and would sleep in my bed with Ginger. Red mastered a circle game toy, and when company came, he would ensure everyone was watching him. He was ambidextrous when he batted the ball around with his paws. Red had a great temperament, and he was an easygoing cat. Red’s back gave out, and he lost control of his bladder function. I had to have him put to sleep at age 17. He was greatly missed. I have been blessed to have many wonderful and loving cats. Each cat left a special place in my heart, and I loved them all. Thank you for blessing me with excellent and caring cats throughout the years.

Be Prepared For Change In Your Life

Be Prepared For Change In Your Life

You May Have To Move Away From Your Family

People move many times in life, and it is never easy but sometimes necessary. When a woman gets married, she generally moves away from her family. If you find a better-paying job, you must relocate to a new town and make new friends. Going to college will generally be the first move in your life, and you will get to meet many people during your college years.

Technology

You have to try to keep up with technology to the best of your ability as the world is a technology world. Technology changes quickly, and the smartphone you purchased one year ago is obsolete. Cars can drive themselves now, and I noticed an automated John Deere tractor in a farm magazine. Technology makes it easier for some to navigate this world and very hard for those who cannot keep up with it.

We Are An Aging Society

As we grow older, adapting or accepting changes is more arduous. We may still feel young inside, but we know we are old when it takes us a long time to complete a simple task. A project that took only minutes to achieve when you were in your forties now brings you an hour to meet in your seventies. We must accept change gracefully and realize that aging is a part of life. All of us will depend on people to help us as we age because we cannot do it by ourselves anymore. You may feel bad for asking people for help, but they will have to ask for help themselves someday. All of us need caring people in our lives. God wants us to help our fellow man when he needs a helping hand. God gives us a helping hand when we pray to him for help daily.

Death Of Loved Ones

All of us cry and mourn our loved ones. We miss them deeply and wish they could be beside us. All of us grieve differently. God weeps with us when we have lost a loved one. When our loved one is very sick and suffering and dies, we can find comfort that in death, they will suffer no longer. Our loved ones will be in heaven with God and their loved ones that have gone on before them. God is the light and salvation.

Change Is Always Going To Be Part Of Life

If you like to travel, travel while you are young. None of us know what tomorrow may bring, so enjoy life daily. Remember that this is the day the lord has made, and be glad in it and rejoice in it every morning when you first get out of bed. God can and does help you get through the complex changes in your life. Remember that God is your compass and your guide through your entire life. Change is inevitable, so try to run with it and accept it.

Outdoor Cat Antics

Outdoor Cat Antics

Cats That Find A Different Home And Then Return Home

Tom cats will take off in the spring and fall for a mate or more. I have had Tom’s cats take off for at least six months or more, and then they return home for their winter lodging. Once in a while, my neighbors called me, telling me my cat lived there. I had one female cat take off for eight years, and then she returned home to die at my place about six months after returning home. I was glad she had returned home, as I always wondered what had become of her. I loved seeing her again.

The Catch Of The Day

Some of my outdoor cats would return home at the end of the day with their catch of the day. The day’s yield was a giant gopher, garter snakes, mice, rabbits, and voles. One of my outdoor cats would sit on top of a fence post most of the day until a mouse passed, and she had an instant lunch. Onyx would hunt the ditches all day and had several mice to eat during the day. A few of my cats would rest next to my picture window, and when an unfortunate bird hit the window, they were there to eat it. One cat would sleep in the rhubarb plants next to the bird feeder, and she would have lunch.

High Anxiety

Cats love to climb and sometimes forget how high up they are. One cat that our tenant had climbed and climbed to the top of an ash tree, and he would not come down. My father cut the tree down, and the cat jumped out to safety, and he never tried that again. I had one cat stay on top of the barn roof for at least two days, and then she climbed down. Both cats that had risen so high were a Himalayan, Siamese, Persian, and domestic shorthair mix.

My Female Cat That Loved Our Small Dog

She would sleep in the doghouse next to our small dog. She had kittens later on that slept in the doghouse, also. Our small dog would babysit the kittens when their mother took off hunting. Later, she and the dog and my pet goat would go hunting together. My goat loved cats, also. It was a different hunting party, but they all worked well together. The cat and the dog hunted for mice while the goat hunted for ears of corn.

Outdoor Cat Dangers

Wild animals can attack and kill your cats. Your outdoor cats can get run over on the road and beaten up by other cats. If your cat is in a horrible fight, he may miss the tip of his ear or an eye. Your cat may return to your home covered in fleas. Outdoor cats can drink anti-freeze or motor oil and other chemicals that could kill them. I had one outdoor cat come home with only three legs once, as I think he must have stepped on an animal trap. Cats are curious and adventurous creatures who can get into trouble quickly as they do not understand or comprehend the hidden dangers outdoors. God bless your cats and keep them safe from cat antics that may kill or harm them.
