Some Cat Health Problems

Liver Cancer

I had a beautiful light cream-colored cat with socks and boots that I named Philmoor. I found him in the Perkins parking lot in my hometown. He was very gentle and affectionate. He purred the minute he arrived at my farm. He lived in the house next door for a while and soon was moved to my house. He was always a very energetic and outgoing cat. He was always very healthy; when he was ten years old, he seemed to want to sleep all the time. I noticed he was losing weight, so I took him to my Vet, who said he had liver cancer. My Vet told me that his ears and the inside of his mouth were yellow. I had not noticed because of his light color. I had him put to sleep for one week. He was a wonderful and kind-loving cat. I missed Philmoor very much.

Breast Cancer

I had a purebred Siamese cat by the name of Sugar. She always wanted all the attention she could get from you. She was a moody cat, but I loved her dearly. She loved to play with toy mice and sponges. I noticed a mass by her breast; my Vet removed it when she was 14. She kept getting more groups, and when she was 16 years old, she did not have much energy anymore, and my Vet put her to sleep. Sugar was my first housecat, and I missed her dearly.

Ear Cancer

I had a lovely, marked calico cat named Champayne; she had several kittens on my farm and was an excellent mother cat. She was very active through the years and an excellent mouser. I first noticed a bump in her ear and thought another animal had bitten her. The mass in her ear kept growing, and blood would come out when she shook her head. My Vet said the group would spread to her brain, so I did what I had to do. She was a loving cat, and I enjoyed her for ten years.

Tumors Or Cyst

My house cat Conrad had a large cyst on his tail removed. The cyst was released, and it did not affect his seat. My outdoor Tom cat Willford had a large cyst on his face, and he let me remove it with a scalpel. There was a large mass of fur in the middle of that cyst. Kohl had a large tumor that had to be removed, or it would have covered over his eye if left untreated.

Kidney Problems

Some cats have major kidney problems and must eat exceptional cat food. Some cats refuse to eat kidney food, so you have to feed them whatever they will eat. Eventually, you will have to have your cat put to sleep as their back legs will become wobbly, and the kidneys no longer filter out the waste. God bless our cats and help them with their health problems.
