AUTOMATIC PET FEEDERS

When you go away on a two-day or five-day trip or longer with some feeders, you can rest assured your cat will receive his food promptly. The pet feeders have a timer that dispenses the food at the times you enter. My cats caught onto the time that the food got allocated in a short amount of time.

DISHWASHER SAFE

I first purchased the Pet Safe 5 meal feeder. Each of the five sections holds one cup of food. A fresh meal is available in the first tray immediately; then, it will rotate around four more times. The food tray is dishwasher safe. It takes 4 D batteries to run it. It was straightforward to set up, and my cats love to eat out of it. The Pet Safe automatic feeder has a one-year warranty. I also purchased a Paws and Pals Large Automatic cat feeder. It holds five pounds of food with an anti-jam dispensing system. Auger dispensers the cat food into a bowl attached to the side of it that can be removed for cleaning. You can record three messages on it so your cat can hear your voice while you are gone. Hearing your voice can stimulate your cat to eat better while you are away. The Paws and Pals automatic feeder was easy to set up and used 4D batteries. The feeder is 100 % washable. My cat’s next door love to eat out of their new automatic pet feeder.

TIME SETTINGS FOR YOUR PET

I purchased a Cat Mat C50 Automatic Pet Feeder, which is very easy to set when you want your cat fed. It has an old-fashioned style timer that you move to your desired time settings. My cats love eating out of it, and it is hushed. It uses one triple battery to operate it. It has two ice packs to keep your cat’s food fresh.

If you are on the go, your cats will love you for buying them an automatic pet feeder.

Kindness

Kindness goes a long way in making the world a little brighter for others. It is easy to be kind to people by complimenting them on a job that shows they take pride in their work. Be considerate of others people’s feelings. Put yourself in the other person’s shoes.

Kind gestures such as a smile, holding a door open, caring for someone’s groceries, visiting with them, and much more shows people that you care and appreciate them. Paying it forward is a beautiful and gratifying act of kindness. Give to charities that you support that help uplift people year around. Some charities provide housing, clothes, heat, toys and food, and much more that help people in need due to situations out of their control. A family that lost their job, a sick child, a work accident, and more genuinely need beautiful acts of kindness and help.

Be kind to a person made fun of, as the next person made fun of might, be you. God is always kind, caring, and forgiving, as we are God’s children here and in heaven. Show kindness to all of God’s creatures. If you see an animal in pain, try to help it by calling a vet, police, humane society, or the sheriff’s office. That can help the poor animal to be out of misery.

Kindness shows in your actions and how you relate to other people. When sick, it would be best to surround yourself with genuinely kind and outstanding people. There is no excuse to be kind to people suffering, sick, in pain, the very young, the elderly, and all of God’s creatures, great and small. Kindness is what life is all about, as it makes life bearable and meaningful and shows people that you love them. God loves us equally, as we are all his children.

I loved looking at and seeing their old stores during George Washington’s time. The people in the stores were dressed in the attire of years ago. Their talks and demonstrations were informative about how people made a living in Colonial times.

We had a tour of the Barber and Peruke Maker. Peruke means “artificial head of hair ” in the French language. Wigs were popular for men in the 17th and 18th centuries. They would shave off your natural hair and then fit you for a wig. Very few women wore wigs because they did not want their hair shaved off. Wigs were costly, and only the upper 5 % could afford one. A wig such as George Washington’s took over 100 hours to make. Wigs were made from Yak, horse, goat, and human hair.

We had a tour of the Apothecary or Drug Store. The original brown containers from the 1700s that held the different compounds were in the store. The stores were very dark inside since they depended on candlelight for light. Medicine was rolled in licorice root to give it a better taste. The different compounds were mixed for your particular treatment.

The dressmaker spent 100 hours making a wedding dress, which was very labor-intensive. A politician’s suit with a vest and all the lining took the tailor 100 hours to complete. Corsets could take 50 hours or more to make.

The cabinet maker makes cupboards, doors, and window frames for your home. He had every kind of wood plane you could imagine for the different shapes and cuts to decorate the trim. He also made wooden benches for outdoor use.

The shoemaker used leather from cattle and goats to make shoes. Goat leather was used in the more expensive shoes as it is very soft and subtle. A pair of boots like George Washington wore took half a year’s wages that most people got paid. Excellent quality shoes took 8 hours to make. Slip-on slippers took 3 hours to complete.

We went to the silversmith shop. They still make jewelry today that is stamped Colonial Williamsburg. I purchased a sterling silver cross of Lorraine. They sell candle sticks, necklaces, earrings, and more.

We had a tour from the Weaver. He told us it took all day to weave 13 yards of fabric. In Colonial days he would start as an apprentice. He would have the apprenticeship for five years without wages, but he would get room and board. When the training was finished, he would be a journeyman. If he could save up a half year’s wages, he could buy a loom and start his shop.

We watched the Printer and Bindery man putting leather on a book. He said you had to carefully shave the leather so you would not put a hole in it and have to start over. He used cowhide to cover the books. He had to heat various irons for different patterns on the leather. If you heated the iron too hot, you would burn the leather. You could not rest because the way would be off if you stopped, and the leather cover would look terrible. The very wealthy would have gold-gilded leather covers put on their books.

History indeed came to life on Market Square in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia.

Being Content In Life

Being content in life is accepting your life as it is. Sometimes it takes a near-death experience for you to be content in life. Being close to God, friends, and family is lovely; they can all help you along life’s bumps.

I had been in the same business for years. I liked what I did at that time in my life. I now enjoy being a lay minister at my church, reaching out to people, and listening to them tell me their stories. I write #inspirationswithlaura on my website. I am finally doing what God has called upon me to do, and there is no better contentment than that in your life.

Always look for what God wants you to do with your life. You will find subtle signs of what God calls you to accomplish with your life. Sometimes if you are lacking, you will miss the first signs, so always keep on the alert, for God is calling upon all of us to accomplish specific and helpful missions with our life that will benefit and enrich the lives of many.

Visit with your elders often as you will learn many of lives valuable lessons from them. We all know a lot of useful and practical tasks throughout the years. Treat your elders with the utmost respect, and remember, you will be old much quicker than you think. Do not hurt, harm, or injure the old, young, or anyone. We all have feelings, and we all suffer from pain. Never add to someones suffering or pain and try to help to relieve them from suffering or pain. Ensure they get their necessary medicine on time and re-position them gently in bed if they can no longer turn over on their own. The young and the old should not lay around in wet diapers or clothing. Remember the Golden Rule and keep it close to your heart; you will treat people with the utmost respect.

Caring

What does it mean to care for someone? It means displaying kindness and concern for another person well being. You show the person compassion and respect and care for their needs in a kind and professional manner. You never hurt or harm a person who can no longer care for themselves due to age or an injury or illness beyond their control. No one wants to depend on others, but it happens as we age. We are all getting older daily and will all need someone to care for us eventually. Care for people as you want them to care for you, and you will be one of God’s good stewards.

Be kindhearted and warmhearted. A little kindness and concern will help someone in need and put a smile on their face. Visit with people, bake a treat, give them a plant, feed those who cannot provide for themselves any longer, help them stay clean, and make them feel loved and needed daily.

In caring professions, you practice looking after those who cannot care for themselves, incredibly sick and older adults. As a caring professional, you must put yourself in the other person’s shoes daily. If the party you are helping cries out in pain, do whatever is possible to take away their pain. Never walk away from someone in pain and ignore them; that is cruel and unusual punishment for a crime not committed. Feed those who cannot feed themselves and ensure they have plenty of water. Treat everyone like they might be taking care of you someday.

Caring for someone should be natural. We are all children of God and entitled to compassionate and caring professionals. Be caring and concerned for people well being forever. You will be on the receiving end someday. If you can’t take what you dish out to others that rely on you for their care, you will be in big trouble much sooner than you think.

I think most of us want the same things out of life. We want to be loved, liked, and respected. We want to be healthy, have a healthy family, and have a genuine love for each other. We came to earth to help one another as one of God’s good stewards.

We need a job that enriches us and helps other people. We want a career in life that we enjoy doing day after day. A job should not make you feel horrible; it should help fill your days with great joy. As you know, you have helped out many people today. The world should be a better place with the knowledge you willingly share with other people that will pass their knowledge down the line.

Traveling is an excellent way to learn about other countries and their people. I enjoy looking at the beautiful architecture in foreign countries around the world. I enjoy seeing mountains and looking at and hearing the sounds of the ocean. I like tranquil settings that let you relax and unwind from life’s stresses and the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Staying in an inn or a small cottage is very relaxing indeed.

I like nature in all of its glory. The peacock with all his tail feathers spread out, and our majestic bald eagle soared above. Beautiful flowers and flowering trees add much to the flavor of life. I like to look at cute baby animals as they are adorable in every way possible.

When we die, we want to be remembered in a positive light. We want to be remembered for the good things we did that helped others and know that we left a positive and helpful impression with our time on earth. We want God to think of us as his good stewards.

Do not let your cat eat any poinsettia leaves or any part of the plant. Your cat will most likely be unable to meow for about one week. Mistletoe will kill a cat if they ingest it. Chocolate will also destroy your cat if they eat any of it. Please do not feed your cats any bones; they could get lodged in their throat or cut their esophagus. Please do not feed your cat as many table scraps as he could throw up or get horrible diarrhea. I only give my cats a few little turkey pieces at Christmas.

I do not put up a Christmas tree since I have house cats. Cats can drink the water under the tree, and some water has been treated with chemicals that keep your tree looking better longer but will kill your house cat if they drink that water. Tinsels will get lodged in your cat’s stomach or digestive system if they play with it and then eat it. Cats can chew on Christmas lights, bulbs, and more which could harm or kill them.

Give toys to your cats with no eyes or anything they could pull off and eat, as they could choke to death. Give your cat toys made for cats to be on the safe side. Never let your cats play with plastic bags, as they could quickly smother to the end. Throw wrapping paper in the garbage soon, along with ribbons and strings. Strings are hard to remove from your cat’s mouth and might be ingested to where your cat would need surgery to draw the downed line.

As you clean your home for Christmas gatherings, remember to put away your cleaning supplies ASAP so your cat will not get poisoned by you because you got into too much of a hurry trying to get ready for Christmas. I hope you and your cats have a Merry, safe Christmas this year and forever more.

The true meaning of Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Christ. He was born to save us from our sins. He is our great redeemer. He was born in a lowly manger, as his parents were told there was no room in the inn. The animals in the manger gathered near him. The three wise men came bearing gifts to celebrate his birth. The stars in the sky were brightly shining, which helped lead the wise man to his place of birth in Bethlehem.

Christmas Stands For The Birth Of Christ

Christmas stands for the birth of Christ, as the first part of the word Christmas is Christ. We should always say Merry Christmas and not Happy Holidays. When we take Christ out of the equation, we have lost the true meaning of Christmas. We are so afraid of offending people anymore that many say Happy Holidays. We are much better off just saying Merry Christmas because that is what we want to say to celebrate the birth of our savior Christ the Lord.

Christmas is not about exchanging gifts and cyber Monday or sales. Surround yourself with family and friends that celebrate Christmas the way you know it should be celebrated. Go to a Christmas eve service at church and surround yourself with your church family in celebrating the birth of Christ. It is lovely to see your church full of people on Christmas Eve celebrating the birth of Christ our Savior. We sing praises to God.

Bring Joy, Hope, Love, And Peace To Everyone

Help people in need at Christmas. Give to worthy charities in your community. Give to ministries that help people all over the World. Give to the food bank, volunteer, visit people often, and pray for others without ceasing. Always try to be a person that people can look up to and respect. Your actions toward others speak volumes about you and what is truly important to you. Celebrate the birth of Christ in a manner that treats him as our Lord and great redeemer. Do random acts of kindness often. Please pay it forward and give a stranger a surprise gift.
