My house cats love to lay on my bed and look out my window at the birds in the trees and bushes. They sort through their toy box daily to pick a cat toy to toss and throw around in the air. Conrad’s favorite toy is a singing bird cat toy at the moment. He loves tossing it in the air again and again.

Bird Watching 101 For Your Cats

I have several bird feeders by my picture window. Put out a large variety of different mixtures of bird seed to attract a large variety of birds. I also put out suet or suet balls from my local grocery store as suet attracts the woodpeckers. My cats watch the following birds: sparrows, blue jays, blackbirds, chickadees, house finches, cardinals, goldfinches, starlings, crows, and woodpeckers.

My cats love to play with their circle toys with a ball that they bat around with their paws. They throw their catnip mice around and toss them up in the air. Different Cat Personalities

Siamese cats are very outgoing and very talkative. A purebred Siamese has a very high-pitched meow. Sometimes they are one-person cats and do not do well with strangers. I had a purebred Siamese, and she liked to jump on strangers’ heads. Siamese cats were trained to jump on people’s heads years ago. They were kind of like a small dog guard for the family. My cat Sebastian saw a man walking down my road at night, and he let out a meow or wail that could wake the dead. I pulled my shade down and thanked Sebastian for his heroic effort.

Himalayan cats are very quiet and never seem to meow much at all. They are very loving and kind and need a lot of grooming with their long hair. A Himalayan is a cross between a Persian and a Siamese cat. Persians have a short stubby noses and tend to be on the quiet side.

Rex cats do not shed, and they have curly hair or no hair at all. Some of the hairless cats are pretty long and resemble a Siamese cat that would have no hair. Hairless cats have a short life expectancy compared to other cat breeds.

I saw two Manx cats on the Isle of Man, where they originated. They were long and had no tails. They were very friendly and outgoing. They tend to have health problems because they do not have a seat.

They are many more exciting and various breeds of cats to consider bringing into your household. Ecat seems to have a distinctive and compelling personality that differentiates it from other cats or species.

All of the cats I have now are domestic short hairs, a combination of other breeds of cats. My cats are part domestic short hair, Siamese, Persian, Himalayan, and Maine Coon. Most of my cats have a lot of Siamese and Himalayan in their genetic makeup. I had a purebred Maine Coon cat when I was six years old, and she lived until I was sixteen. About forty years later, I had a male cat born on my farm that looked identical to her.

My domestic short hair cats have lived to be eighteen years old. They are easy-going and friendly, and very loving cats. My cats are lovely and caring companions. I hope you and your cats have a lifetime of friendship and many years together.

For The Love Of Cats

I have loved cats since I met my first cat Flossie in my stroller. My farm cats have always followed me all over our farm. They would wait with me in the morning while I waited for my school bus. My cats would sit next to me while I read a book outside. For a school assignment, I had to have someone lead me around blindfolded, and I was able to identify each one of my cats by their particular meow. I got an A on that assignment.

I have adopted many cats over the years, and they have been excellent, kind, and loving. Many of the cats I have adopted have become my house cats. I have adopted Siamese cats, domestic short hair, Persian, and a Russian Blue cat. I have adopted cats from restaurants, their former owner, businesses, a kennel, and my veterinarian. Each cat that I have adopted has unique qualities and character.

I have doctored many cats back to health, and most were very appreciative. Some of my cat patients have taken off again after their recovery. They did not realize that the medicine that I had them take had saved their lives. They thought I was a mean person that fed them a terrible-tasting liquid mixture, gave them a shot, or had them swallow a nasty pill. My intentions were well, but they did not realize that.

I have loved and adored cats since my baby years. I would be lost without the companionship of a Dear sweet cat. They sleep in my bed with me a night and awaken with me in the morning. They start their day with a clean litter box, water, and a dish full of dry cat food. They get cat treats, play with cat toys, and hold onto my lap, and I pat them on their head. They love to watch birds from my picture window. Life is perfect with your loving, compassionate, and caring cat in your life.

I had a very petite and tiny black kitten born on my farm. She would follow my Father and me all over the farm. She would do the same thing if someone came to visit us. She was always underfoot, and we were afraid we would accidentally step on her and kill her. She was a very kind and loving little female kitten. She knew enough to stay away from cars and farm machinery. If I tried to run so she could not catch up with me, it did not work. The minute I turned around, she was right there, johnny on the spot.

She would eat a fair amount of cat food, but she never seemed to grow. I thought she would always remain tiny for her age. She was very healthy and could run like the wind. She had her rabies and distemper shots and checked out fine with my vet. I think our dog got a little annoyed with her sometimes because she would also follow our dog all around the farm when we were in the house.

I put an ad in our local newspaper under giveaways. I feared someone would eventually step on her and kill her by accident. A lovely young couple answered my ad. I told the couple she was tiny and would probably stay that way for the rest of her life. The couple came out to our farm and fell in love with her the minute they saw her. I asked for their name and phone number so I could check up on her later.

I waited about a year before I called the young couple and asked them how the kitten was coming along. They told me that she turned out to be a sizeable female cat and that they loved her so much they got another cat to keep her company. I was glad my young cat found an excellent and loving home.

My Related Cat Family

I adopted Addi from the Nelson Cheese factory in Nelson, Wisconsin. She was a cat that was living outdoors at their business. She is a beautiful silver tabby cat with some cream coloring in her hair. I had Addi for about six months, and she became pregnant by my cat Peter. Addi had five healthy kittens. Addi involved the help of my neutered Toms in babysitting her kittens along with their Aunt Nicole.

When the kittens were about nine weeks old, I gave two of them to a kind and loving home. I look at their pictures on Facebook, and they are living in the lap of luxury. She named the kittens Leo and Cleo.

I named Addi’s other three kittens Mr. Gray, Hilford, and Sherlock, and they are large and sturdy-looking neutered Tom. Addi was sleeping on a large cat mat the other day with Hilford and Nicole cuddled up together. I find Peter cuddled up with Nicole, Sherlock, Hilford, and Mr. Gray with his feet or head sticking out of the heated cat bed.

The cat family gets along with Faith and Cali but never cuddles up since they are unrelated. They like my cat Russ because he used to babysit Addi’s kittens for her, so he gets to cuddle up with them like he is part of their family.

My Related cat family is fun to watch because they care for each other and keep each other warm. They like to play games together and toss a catnip mouse to each other. Since I always had outdoor cats as a child, I never got to see how the inner workings of a related cat family worked until I could watch them in a house daily. The inner workings and concern for each other well being in a cat family are not much different than the concerns a human family has for each other well being. They watch over each other daily.

My name is Kohl, and I lay on my Mother’s pillow and meow away in her ear. I find my method of waking up my human very effective indeed. My human gets annoyed when I give her my idea of a permanent in the morning. I need away at her hair and comb through it with my teeth. She gets her fill of my cat perm in a hurry, gets out of bed, and tends to all my needs and desires. I demand fresh water in the morning. I stare and the water dish, and she fills it with lovely fresh water for me to drink ASAP. I have her trained perfectly.

My name is Garfunkel, and I lay closer and closer to my human Mother until she cannot stand the heat radiating from my little body any longer and she gets out of bed. I also use another method, as you always need a plan B. I lick and lick away at my human hands and arms. She gets out of bed and cleans our litter boxes, and I make sure I am the first cat to use the cleaned-out litter box in the morning. My human was straightforward to train.

My name is Conrad, and I sleep by my Mother’s feet all night. I am part Siamese, so I let that part of me shine through in the morning. I call out to my human Mother in a shrill Siamese voice that could wake the dead in the morning, and if she did not wake up with that, I would have to call 911. I walk up by her face in the morning as I like it when she pats me on the head and holds me c; I lose to her for a little while.

We love our human and try to please her as much as she pleases us. We are fortunate to have each other and be in a loving and caring home. God Bless you, humans, for caring for us and letting us train you perfectly.

The Story of My Cat Hoover

Hoover was one of my first cat’s kittens. Hoover was named after our Hoover vacuum cleaner. As a child, I did not get very original when I called my cats alone. Hoover was very gentle, and he would let a young child pick him up and hold him without even giving me one scratch. I would carry Hoover around with his legs drooping down, but he would purr away contentedly.

Hoover would wait for me to come out of the house every morning to hold and fuss over him. He would stay while I waited for the school bus to take me to school in the morning. Hoover got a lot of table scraps to eat, dry cat food, and freshwater to drink daily.

Hoover had his Mother, Flossie, and siblings to keep him company. I had his siblings, Blacknose Sprite, and an adopted cat Fresca. Sprite and Fresca were named after the soda pop that I drank.

Hoover was a red tabby tuxedo cat. He would play with leaves and his Mother’s tail as a tiny kitten. Once in a while, he and his sisters would play chase and wrestle around together. He was a good hunter like his Mother and would bring dead gophers and mice up to the house so we could get a good look at his catch of the day. His sisters were very successful huntresses.

Hoover and the other cats would follow my Father around the farm, and luckily, they all knew enough to stay away from the farm machinery. They loved to sleep in the hay mow of the old barn we used to have. They were friendly and cozy in the hay and got the other animals’ warmth in the barn. They drank milk along with their regular cat food in the winter months. They always had heated water to drink in the winter from a heated water tank for the farm animals.

Holding and petting your cat can put you in a peaceful place. Watching a cat playing, frolicking along, and having a good time outdoors in nature is very friendly and relaxing. A cat sleeping contentedly or cats cleaning each other is mild indeed. Mother cats show great love toward their kittens by nursing them and licking them clean, and letting their kittens play with their tail. Cats give you joy when they meet you at the door when you come home from work. Having a cat sit on your lap lowers your blood pressure and puts you in a better mind after a hard day.

Cats love you unconditionally. Cats follow you through the house and keep a keen eye on what you are up to in your home. My cats entertain me with their antics. Watching a cat chase a ball, laser light, tail, or a robotic toy through your house is fun. Cats know when you are not feeling well and will stay close to you 24/7. Cats have many comforting qualities, such as their sweet purrs and the tender touch of their paw on your arm or hand.

Cats love owners that treat them right and fairly. Cats must wake their family to alert them to a fire, gas leak, or a severe storm such as a tornado. The Siamese cat that I had when my Mother died meowed mournfully at the edge of the bathtub for a week after Mother died.

Cats become small family members we love and adore just as much as they love and adore us. Cats give us comfort, love, peace, and joy daily, enriching our lives with their presence and grace. Our cats give us all that they have day after day unconditionally.

In Memory Of My Cat Onyx

Onyx was born on my farm in the winter. He lived in a building with heated cat beds and water to drink. His Mother was an excellent huntress, and Onyx grew up to be an excellent mouser.

Onyx died by the cat building and the grain bin near my house last evening. Onyx was ten years and seven months old. I buried Onyx on my farm and placed a marker on his grave. The cat tombstone says: You have left our lives but will never leave our hearts.

Onyx was a fantastic looking gorgeous black Tom cat. Onyx was part Siamese, Persian, Himalayan, and domestic short hair. Onyx had a shorter nose, like a Persian cat. His coat was sleek, and he was a neat, trim, gorgeous cat.

All of the kittens born on my farm are Onyx’s offspring. Kohl and Conrad, two of my house cats, are Onyx’s offspring.

Onyx is the father to Nicole and Peter next door. Onyx is the Grandfather to Sherlock, Hilford, Mr. Gray, and two more kittens I gave away to a beautiful and loving home. Onyx is also the father to many cats in my neighborhood.

Onyx was an excellent father to his kittens. They could play with his tail or wrestle with him, and he did not mind it. He taught his kittens to be excellent mousers. Onyx loved to watch his kittens play with leaves and was always kind and loving toward them and their mothers.

Onyx was always on patrol for any mice he could spot by my house in the ditch. I don’t think any mice escaped Onyx’s keen eyes and his excellent hearing and hunting skills. He kept my place almost completely rodent free, all on his own. When I would drive to town or come home from being in town, I would always spot Onyx hunting in the ditch by my house.

I will miss Onyx greatly. He was a kind and gentle Tomcat. Onyx had a bloodline that went back to my very first cat by the name of Flossie. We had a Himalayan Tom cat at one time and a black and white female cat that was part Siamese, Persian, and Himalayan, and Onyx is a decedent of them. This post shows a picture of Onyx, Kohl, and Conrad in memory of my beloved cat Onyx.
