Troubled Times

All of us have times when we feel uneasy or on edge. We may be sick or have lost a loved one. There are no continuous good times for any of us. Sometimes we will doubt ourselves or others. God will help you return to a time when you felt better and more at ease. Pray to God when you feel down and out; he will help you return to a better place in your heart and soul. Grieving for a loved one never goes away completely, but it is more bearable with God in your life. God knows all of your thoughts and is there for you 24/7.

Times When People Fail You

If you put too high demands on people for happiness, they will fail you. People are only human and can only help you to the best of their ability. If you want total perfection, you ask for what no one can deliver. People have their own life to live, and they cannot constantly dance to the beat of their drums. It is sad when you have an appointment with someone, and they do not show up. Before you get mad at them, see why they did not attend their appt.

Sickness

Sickness will strike when you least expect it. Sometimes we come out of illnesses appreciating God much more than before we were sick. We tend to move along with our lives, and when sickness strikes at home, we wonder why me. I say, why not me? As it happens to every one of us eventually. We appreciate God when he answers our prayers and helps us recover. God loves us dearly; sometimes, it takes an illness to thank God for everything he has given us. God wants all of his followers to be well and happy. Sometimes nature has other ideas for us. Pray to God, for he answers all prayers in his timeframe.

If We Fall, We Must Get Up Again

If we stumble and fall, we must get up again. All of us will have stumbling blocks in our lives. We may lose our job and have to start from scratch again. With modern technology, job skills change very quickly. We may half to go back to college and learn a new job skill. Keep a positive attitude and never think you are beaten because you will be destroyed if you do.

People May Make Fun Of You

Consider the source, and do not let them get the best of you. If someone thinks I cannot do something, I always prove them wrong by completing the task. Bullies will always be bullies, and they will be the ones that cannot get things done. Bullies are generally chickens that could not win a good fight if they tried. God will protect you from people who want to put you down, for he knows the genuine inner you and what you can do to benefit people while you are on earth. God, thank you for our many blessings in life.

God Gives Me Hope

Sickness

God is there for you in times of sickness. God gives me hope that I will get better and recover soon. God knows the pain and suffering you are having while you are ill. God gives me hope when I look at all the beauty he has made on Earth. I pray to God for strength to get through an illness. Faith in God will help you get through the worst times in your life. Without hope and faith, you have nothing to lift you when you are down and out. When I pray and trust God, he will get me through any storm that might come my way. Always hope and pray for a better tomorrow.

Hope Will Carry You Far In Life

If you think a situation is hopeless, it probably will be because you have already determined it will be. Hope and understanding are built on solid ground; all other ground is sinking sand. Sometimes you can be too hopeful for your good. If you think you will get an A on a test, you may get a bad grade because you were overconfident. If you believe you will fail in life, you will. If you apply it to your daily living, God gave you what you need to succeed. Hope can help you soar like an eagle.

People That Have No Hope

I have seen people who think nothing will ever go their way. If you lose hope, others will lose hope in you. People who have lost hope are lonely, sad, and alone. You are never alone, as God is always by your side. It is proven that people who have social connections are more outgoing and confident in what they can achieve in life. Staying by yourself only adds to your problems as you will most likely keep hashing them repeatedly in your mind. Never cry over spilled milk. Move on, and look forward to the next extraordinary event. Try to lift people that feel hopeless in their lives. Tell them what they have done for others and what they have accomplished with their lives. Pray for them to have hope back in their lives again very soon.

Try To Be Hopeful Everyday

If you are tired after working all day, thank God for what he has helped you accomplish today. I am hopeful when I look at my accomplishments. I do not want to sit down and do nothing. Be glad you woke up this morning and have another day to thank God for your many blessings. God carries you when you are sick, so you only see one set of footprints in the sand. I am thankful that I have put my hope in God and others who are always there for me when I need them most. Thank you, God, for giving me hope to keep moving forward with joy, faith, love, and hope in my heart and soul.

Love Yourself

Love The Person That You Our

If you do not love yourself, others will not love you either. Take time for yourself sometimes and relax and enjoy your day. Read a book, go for a walk, go shopping, and treat yourself now and then. If you do not like something about yourself, change it. Be a kind, compassionate, caring, loving, and go-to person for others. Listen and help others with their problems and try to help solve them as if they were yours. All of us need help and extra strength once in a while in our lives. Try to be a better you every day. If you fail at something, do not beat yourself up and move on to the next venture that life will bring your way. If you put your mind to accomplishing something, you will never give up on yourself. Al, things worth pursuing in life will move you forward to be the best person you can be.

Are You A Person That People Look Up To?

Be a person that people will remember for all of the good things you did with your life. Help people to the best of your ability and never ignore anyone that asks for help or needs help. If you cannot help them, you can tell them where they can get the help they need when they need it the most. Don’t be a person that slides by in life. Make every minute of your life on earth stand for something worthwhile and beneficial to society.

God Loves You

God loves us dearly as he gave his only begotten son for us so that we may live forever in heaven and be forgiven for our sins. No man can provide a greater gift than to lay down his life for the life of another. God loves all of his creation and wishes only the very best for us. We should help spread God’s good works and tell others how God has helped us. God helped me with many trials and tribulations in my life. He has always pulled me out of the storms of life. God is my compass, lighthouse, and guide in this World and the next.

Love Others Like You Want To Be Loved

Love a person with all of your heart, mind, and soul, and wish only the best for them in this World and the next. If you would not want to be treated in such a manner, do not treat the one you love in that manner. Love in marriage: love your partner as you want to be loved by them. Forgive each other quickly and never go to bed angry at each other. Never give them a gift that you truly want for yourself. One lady gave her husband a pink truck on their Anniversary. He will never forget that Anniversary. She got the truck, and I hope she gave him one soon that was dark blue like he wanted. Think about how that would make you feel before you go through with it. Love people fully and put yourself into making the relationship work for many years if at all possible. Love with your whole heart and soul until your very last breath.

Abilities

All Of Us Have Hidden Talents

We may know how to play a particular instrument in a concert or remember many telephone numbers. I can write about things to see and do while on a vacation since I have been to that area and what to avoid while traveling. I love cats and like to write about having a happy and healthy cat. I love to write inspirationswithlaura as I took a lay ministry course. I write about different coffee shops and restaurants. Some of us can repair almost anything that comes our way. Hidden talents may be a talent that will turn into a lifetime job or hobby.

Abilities Are Different For All Of Us

I always like to think of people’s abilities, not their disabilities. Our abilities are what keeps us going and what we can use to teach others. I concentrate on my abilities, not the things I cannot do. To stay focused and have a happy and rewarding life, you have to focus on your abilities, which will take you to the finish line in life. One that stays focused on everything they cannot do keeps adding more and more to that list that will take them down a giant sinkhole. Always show people what you can do, and you will amaze them. Stay confident, and you will always rise to the top.

Talents That Come Late In Life

Many people have become very successful after the age of 50. Some people have started chain restaurants and become famous book writers, artists, architects, and more. I think their hidden talents stayed at rest because they were busy raising a family and did not have the time to pursue what they were truly talented at. Sometimes your talents shine just at the right time for someone to honestly notice them and appreciate them for what they are. One lady was buying groceries one day, and a TV program director asked her if she would consider being an actress for their new TV show, and she said yes. She happened to be at the right place at the right time. The TV program aired for 18 years.

God And Abilities

God picks us for things to do on earth as he can see our abilities. He puts us in a job or position that will do the best on earth. If you are good, kind, compassionate, caring, loving, and dedicated, you can help many people worldwide. People need someone to listen to whom they trust and believe in to lead them forward with the abilities God gave them. Praise people that have abilities that shine that help many people. Be a friend and a confidant that people can lean on in times of suffering, pain, and more, and give them hope and encourage them to get better by supporting them in their darkest hours. Pray for ill and suffering people and let them know that God loves them and you love them, along with their friends and family. Always think of your abilities and use them to help others.

How You Act Will Catch Up With You

People will soon learn what the true you is really like. Sometimes people like to put on a good about-face, but there is nothing good about them. Everyone has some good in them, but it is hard to see. I have seen people put a lot of effort into trying to impress someone with fluffing. Show your true self to people and never pretend to be something you are not. If you do not know how to do something, admit that you don’t know how to do it rather than acting like a know it all. Trying to repair something you don’t know anything about will create a more expensive repair. People will like you and respect you if you present yourself precisely how you are and nothing more.

Treat Others With Respect

Never expect people to do something that you would never do yourself. If you want them to clean up a mess for you, you should be willing to clean up that same kind of mess. Whenever I have hired people to help me clean up a mess that others have left behind, I join in helping clean up the mess. If you have people working for you and it is a hot day, bring out cold beverages for them, along with some snacks. I have seen some people expect others to work out in the hot sun all day, and they never offer them anything whatsoever to drink. Treat others how you would want to be treated. If you do not treat your workers right, no one will ever want to work for you again.

God Is Watching Us

God watches us all and sees how we act and treat each other. If we hit a small defenseless creature, he notices. God knows what we do if we take something that does not belong to us. If we try to lead someone astray, he is distraught with us, as he should be. God wants us to, and he expects us to follow the Ten Commandments as it is not called the ten suggestions. He knows we will stray on occasion. We should pray to God to forgive us and genuinely repent. God is our compass and lighthouse to get us through the storms in life and get us back on a firm, solid foundation in life.

Working For Other People

I hope you put your heart and soul into your work. If you put only half of your effort into your job, others will suffer beside you. If you were making brakes for a car and did not spend enough time on the task at hand, someone may die because the brakes on their vehicle did not work correctly. After all, you had an I don’t care attitude that day. You may kill a family member because they put those brakes on their car. If you are a caregiver, think to yourself every day if I were in this person’s place, would I want the kind of care I am giving to the people I care for? If you answered no, I hope you pray to God for guidance and that he gets you back on the right path in life again. How you act catches up with you when everything is said and done.

Enrichment

Spiritual Enrichment

You receive spiritual enrichment by reading the Bible and listening to your Pastor’s sermons. We also receive spiritual enrichment by being around people who tell us what has enriched their spirits. We all have a story about how someone has improved our souls or how God has helped us in times of trouble or turmoil. An enriched soul can accomplish so much more than one without enrichment.

Traveling

Traveling enriches the mind as we take in all the sights and sounds the World has to offer. By learning about different nations and foreign lands, we tend to bond with them and understand more about them. I love to travel, talk to, and visit with some of the people in each country I have traveled to over the years. Traveling uplifts your mind and spirit as you can leave your worries behind while traveling. When I travel, I am entirely stress-free while taking in the fabulous views and eating the foods each country offers. Travel removes the clutter from the soul. Traveling releases the inner you and broadens your horizons. No one can ever take away the memories of your trips as they stay with you forever.

Education

Education will take you far in life. If you are well informed, you make decisions that will lead to the road to success. An idle mind is like rust on a car as it could have gone far in life, but now it cannot help anyone. Read books as they enrich you with knowledge. When reading a book, think about what the author is trying to tell me or the author’s state of mind while writing that sentence or paragraph. I love to read history books. We are bound to repeat past events without reading or knowing about them. Education takes the mind to new heights. An educated person can add so much to society.

Our Job

Do you have a job that enriches you? I hope you have a job that makes you feel productive and happy. There is nothing worse than going to a job that you dread. We should want to do the best work that we possibly can do at our job. Your job should help people or offer them a service that enriches their lives. Some people say they do enough at their job to get by. Are you getting by with it? I think not, as God is watching you at work. If you worked for God, I do not believe he would accept a poor job. Think about that the next time you try to skip one detail in your work.

What Enriches Your Life

Excellent relationships with people enrich your life in many positive ways. We need a good relationship with God, family, friends, and people we talk to and work with. Children enrich our lives in many beautiful ways. Pets bring us companionship and comfort when we are lonely or sick. We have so many lovely people and adventures that enrich our lives daily. Greedy People

A greedy person wants more than he needs or will ever be able to use in life. People should take what they need and leave what they don’t need for someone less fortunate. I have seen some people drive up to a church for free food that are very wealthy people. I would be ashamed to do such a terrible thing, but they have no ethics. They should feel blessed that they don’t need help and let those that need food desperately get what they need. Greedy people are generally better off than they think they are, and they will take advantage of those less fortunate than they are. I have no time for greedy people; they should only take what they need and not be like greedy pigs.

God Does Not Like Greedy People

God wants you to share the fruits of your labor with those less fortunate than you are. One farmer in the Bible stored up his grain to get more money, and the weevils got in and ate up most of his grain. Being too greedy will cost you much when it is all said and done. God wants us to give one of our extra coats to one without any coat at all. Do not take every piece of candy for yourself because it is free. Take only two pieces of candy at the very most. Be generous with your time and make time for others. If you only want to do your own thing when you are with someone else, that is greedy. Jesus laid down his life to save us from our sins. Jesus was not mean in any shape or form as he laid down his life to save humankind from death for our sins.

Greed Is Uncalled For

We live in a land of plenty, so everyone should take only what he needs to survive, as that is all we need. Most people that go to a salad bar have their plates overflowing with food. They soon realize their eyes are larger than their stomachs when they reach their table. Most of the food they take gets thrown away and is wasted. They should have considered how many people could have eaten the food because they could not. I have seen people sneak in the back door of a rummage sale to scope out the bargains before they have even opened. That is being greedy as they should wait in line like everyone else. People have fought over items on Black Friday. Women have about pulled each other’s hair out over some object that no one will even want the following year. They are greedy when they act like animals to get what they want. Be humble and kind and try to help others.

Be Giving And Grateful That You Have Been Blessed In So Many Ways

Give to charities that you can trust to help others. There are a lot of people that need supplies and food desperately for daily survival. Think of those in need, and never let greed take over.

Unattended

Gardens And Trees

A weedy garden does not produce much, and the weeds flourish, robbing the vegetables of the necessary nutrients. The weeds will shade the plants, making your garden look 100% uncared for. Trees need constant pruning, or the suckers will grow, and the tree will get sickly looking. A tree needs a lot of light to the main branches, or the leaves may wilt up, or the fruit may drop off a fruit tree. A fruit tree will not produce much, and its fruit will be tiny and not tasteful. Dead branches left on a tree will swing back and forth in the wind, and they could fall on someone and kill them. Dead branches get bugs and insects in them, and they can fly in healthy areas of the tree and multiply and destroy the whole tree. Gardens and trees need a caretaker to be valuable and productive. If left unattended, you have no trees to put oxygen back into the air and no fresh produce to eat from your garden or fruit trees.

People

If people are left unattended, they get sick or ill. If a child is left alone, they could feel unloved or die if left in a car by someone with too much else on their mind. Never go to someone in charge of children with no experience caring for children. If a particular parent takes a child to school every morning, do not change off, or they may forget their child is in a car seat in the back seat. A person who feels well cared for heals much quicker than one that is not. Everyone needs love, compassion, and empathy in their life.

I Will Do It Tomorrow

The procrastinator keeps putting things off for another day. If you keep doing that, nothing gets done, and a mountain of things needs to get done all at once. If your sink is dripping, call the plumber today and do not put it off, or you may have a flood of water running through your house if a pipe bursts. You cannot leave things unattended. Bills must get paid promptly, or collection agencies will be calling you demanding money, or they may put a lean on your home or garnish your wages. Things have to get done to live in this World to survive and flourish.

Your Soul

If you do not make time for God in your week, you will decline in your performance. Read a daily devotion and reflect on it as someone you know is going through it. Call people who live alone, older adults, and just let them know that you love them and genuinely care about what happens to them. The people that you have in your life can help your soul stay healthy. God enables you to keep a healthy soul by leading you on the path he wants you to go. Read the Bible and follow the Ten Commandments. Never leave your soul unattended, or the Devil will love to take over your soul. If you start to go down a dark winding road and you do not get off, ask God for help and forgiveness.

Security

Where Do You Feel The Most Secure

You feel the most secure with your parents when you are a child. As you start to build friendships, you feel confident with your friends. You feel safe with cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family members. God is our security, for the Lord is my refuge and my fortress in whom I trust.

Security Blanket

Some children have a security blanket that makes them feel secure as very young children. As adults, we have safe places to put our valuables, such as lockboxes. We put our money in a bank as we feel it will be safe there. Some banks are called Security Bank & Trust, so we know their bank is secure. We all want to have a security blanket. We all want to feel confident as we grow older, so we buy rest home insurance, annuities, health insurance, and funeral home insurance and build a nest egg for emergencies.

Security System

Security systems are put in our homes and businesses to protect them while we are away. We have a defense department to help warn us of a possible nuclear attack. We put up smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors to warn us of a danger that could kill us. We lock up our homes, cars, and other valuables so they will not be stolen. We may have a standby generator or sump pump to be secure if a storm occurs. We have a tornado. Ambulances, police, and fire sirens warn us of upcoming dangers. We do everything humanly possible to help us feel more secure.

Checkups and Yearly Shots

We go to the Doctor to keep our bodies as secure as possible as we want to know of any upcoming illness that may harm or kill us if we do not treat it promptly. We have our teeth cleaned to prevent cavities down the road. We get our yearly flu shot, so we don’t get the flu and many other necessary pictures. We feel a little more secure when our Doctor gives us a clean bill of health.

God Is Our Best Security

God knows everything and has the power to do anything; he is perfect. God wants us to enjoy security as he has good plans for all of us that follow him. Money cannot make you feel more secure. God can make you think fast every day and into eternity.

Spiritual Renewal

Renew Your Connection To God

After Easter gives you something to think about with your connection to God. Have you been lucky and do not think about what God has done for you in the past? It is easy to keep sliding along when things are going your way and not give enough thought to what God does for you every single day of your life. When young and healthy, we feel invincible and do not put much thought into spiritual renewing with God. When a significant health issue disrupts our life and daily routine, we pray to God to help heal us and strengthen us again. Sometimes it takes a considerable problem of some type to renew our spiritual connection to God and get us back on the right path in life.

A Near-Death Experience

A near-death experience will make you see life with a whole different outlook. The person used to be shy and reserved, and after a near-death experience, they were very talkative and could communicate easily with anyone. While this person was between life and death, they asked God if they could return and be a lay minister. They came back, and they did become a lay minister, and there is not one single day that goes by that they do not thank God for the gift of life. Life is to be lived and loved and to help spread God’s good works to everyone you meet. Hi -Ways.

If You Do Not Like How You Act Change How You Act

Are you quick to anger and burst into a rage over almost anything? If you are that person, people will try to avoid you with the negative energy you put out there for people to see. I you act like a turtle with your head stuck in a shell, people will wonder about you and likely avoid you. Do you have a crusty old shell like a beetle? If you shed that shell, treat people with kindness, respect, and compassion, and present yourself as God would want you to? A person that puts out positive vibes draws positive people their way, and a person who does not get rid of negativity draws negativity toward them.

Reevaluate Your Life

Easter is a time of renewal and a time to reevaluate your life. It is never too late to make yourself into a better person. If you think your soul is drifting away, do not let that happen, for the Devil is waiting for souls not connected to God. Do God’s will while on Earth and help as many people as possible with your time. Pray to God every night when things and hard for you, and God will answer you if you listen, for he is your Lord and Savior. Pray for forgiveness when you sin and truly repent of the sin. Carry on in a way that will help God and everyone. Keep your soul ready when our Lord and Savior return for judgment day.
