Cat Vomit
If my cats throw up anything, such as food or a hairball, I clean it up ASAP. I use Zep Cat Cleaner to remove pet stains and odors on carpets, and a hard-floor cleaner for wooden floors. I have excellent results with Zep.
Cat Urine
If your cat has an accident on your furniture, carpet, wooden floors, and more, clean the area immediately. I like Nature’s Miracle for removing pet odors from furniture, carpet, or cement floors. I use a wood cleaner on wooden floors. Zep works well for this also.
Cat Furniture
I use Zep and Nature’s Miracle to clean pet furniture such as towers and cat trees. I spray it on the area to be cleaned, and then I use shop towels to absorb everything.
Cat Accidents Next To The Litter Box
If my cats pee outside the litter box, I spray Nature’s Miracle on the floor and wipe it up with shop towels. I also mop the floor and put hospital disinfectant in the water. I love hospital disinfectant because it kills the bacteria on the floor, and the cats never go to that area again.
Cat Bedding
I clean their bedding frequently, and if they have urinated on the towels, I throw those away. I use Tide and a fabric softener.
Cat Toys
I wash any cat toys that can be washed safely, and I throw the others away and replace them with new ones. I try to order at least two of the same toy, so if they like it, I have a new one to replace it when the old one wears out.
Cleaning Floors
Move everything out of the way and get your mop and bucket or steam cleaner ready. I use hospital disinfectant in the water along with liquid Comet and some Tide laundry soap, which really does a good job of making everything very clean.
Cat Grooming
Brush your cat often, and if they cannot clean their rear end well, keep a small battery-operated trimmer handy to trim the hair in that area so it’s easier for them to groom themselves. Long Q-tips work well for cleaning dirty cat ears. I prefer a liquid shampoo that you wipe on and wipe off for cats. Tooth cleaning: Start brushing your cat’s teeth as a kitten, and they will tolerate it as they get older.
Clean Their Dishes
Clean their water dishes every day and make sure they have fresh water to drink at all times. Clean up dirty cat bowls by scrubbing them out with dish soap and drying them with paper towels.
Clean Up Those Litter Boxes
Clean up your litter boxes and scrub them out with dish soap. Deep clean litter robots at least three times a year. Clean litter boxes daily and have fresh litter for your cats.
Cleaning Products Safe For Pets
Make sure your cleaning products are pet-safe before you use them. God bless your cats, and I hope they are happy and healthy.
