Do Not Do Too Much In One Day
Set a time limit for a particular project, and if it is not going according to schedule, please rest and try again later. I generally start with an easier project, then go back to the more complex one and finish it. If you do everything from A to Z in one day, you will be so worn out the next that you won’t be able to get anything done or just a little.
Take Time To Relax Every Day
Read a book, go for a bike ride, take a nap, go out with a friend for lunch, or sit in your easy chair and watch TV for a while. After you have been out with a friend, you are more motivated to get more done when you get back home. I like to water my trees when it is cooler outside and before all the no-see-ums wake up to bite and annoy you. One can sit on a bucket while watering their trees with the hose. God rested on the 7th day after creating the World and all the creatures on earth. Rest rejuvenates the soul, and the mind can think more clearly after a good rest.
Pace Yourself In A Race
If you start out running way ahead of the pack and exhaust yourself, you will not have enough stamina left to get across the finish line. A racehorse that wins a race is not the one that starts in front; it is generally one just a little bit farther behind that can get across the finish line because it has enough lung capacity left and stamina to get across the finish line. Remember, in challenges, one player keeps competing against others after resting for a while. At the end, the two top winners compete against each other, and to the victor go the spoils.
Take Time To Stop And Smell The Roses Every Day
All work and no play is not good for man nor beast. We need to take a break while working to eat, drink, and unwind for a little while. Go out for coffee or food with a friend, as that is a good way to pace your day, relax, and have a good time. Go for a drive in the country. I know a good Amish store with lots of baked goods and delicious candy, where you can restock your supplies and relax, too. I go to Kwik Star to get gas, groceries, coffee, and a warm sandwich to go. Ride your bike to the grocery store, and you can get exercise and any essential groceries you need. Walk to a store with your friends if it is not too far away to buy whatever you need.
Do you like sports?
Play a game outdoors with your friends when the weather is nice. In the winter months, watch a hockey match indoors or watch a football game. You could go to the park and play Frisbee golf, tennis, kickball, basketball, and baseball. I like to watch a curling match every so often. The Olympic Games are always exciting to watch.
