My friends and I visited Canal Station Pier Head Lighthouse on a cool and windy day. I enjoyed the walk down to see the lighthouse. It is located at a fully operational US Coast Guard Station at the Lake Michigan end of Sturgeon Bay ship canal. The Pierhead lighthouse was built in 1882. I was very impressed with the style and structure of this lighthouse.

I enjoyed my walk to Baileys Harbor Range Light. It is located at the North end of Baileys Harbor. The lighthouse was established in 1869. The range lights were used to guide ships safely into Baileys Harbor. The sailor was in safe water when the upper and lower lights were lined up. I loved the flowers that were planted on the grounds. The area was scenic and majestic.

I loved walking around the grounds where Cana Island Lighthouse is located. It is located on the North edge of Baileys harbor. The lighthouse was established in 1869. The lighthouse is open from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM, but make sure you are there by 4:00 PM. The lighthouse is open from May 15th thru Oct. 31st. A child must be five years old and at least 42 inches tall to climb the tower safely.

I enjoyed my climb to the top of the tower. The steps leading up to the building were cast iron and pie shaped. There are 102 cast iron steps to the top of the building. I was impressed with the Fresnel lens, which consists of circular prisms that gather light from a lamp. The lamp bends the beam, making a much stronger ray of sunshine. The lamp was initially fueled by oil, lard, and later on kerosene, and finally, it was electrified. The Cana Island Lighthouse is an operating aid to navigation under US Coast Guard Jurisdiction.

We had an excellent guide. She told us about the shipwrecks that occurred over the years due to the horrific storms. She told us about the lighthouse keeper. The keeper had reported huge waves that broke into the house and flooded it. He had to wait to be taken off the island until it was safe for people to come and rescue him and his family. Lighthousekeepers were courageous heroes for helping save the life of many people by doing their job every day with strength and courage beyond the call of duty. God Bless all of the lighthouse keepers throughout the years. Without them, many lives would have been lost.

I love to look at lighthouses. I would highly recommend looking at these magnificent lighthouses. They have a vast and incredible history. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Egg Harbor Fun Park hosted my fun adventure. All thoughts are 100 % honest and my own.

I had a fantastic time at Egg Harbor Fun Park in Door County, Wisconsin. The owner and the employees I met were amiable and accommodating.

I drove one of their new Go-Karts around their race track for Go-Karts. The Go-Karts were comfortable and had a strap to protect you as you raced around their race track. I went with three friends we had fun running around the track. Sara is ready to take off.

I made quite a few laps around the track. The Go-Karts were easy to operate and quickly sped around the race track. Some of their Go-Karts hold two people. My first Go-Kart ride was at Egg Harbor Fun Park. I am glad I first rode on an excellent brand new Go-Kart.

I always wanted to shoot a paint gun. They had paint guns, so I naturally had to try one out. They had many different targets to shoot at. I shot at a metal pelican that would spin around when you hit it with the paintball.

I also shot at metal hub caps and a bell. I then decided to shoot at the wood on the building the targets were attached to. I had a lot of fun with my new paint gun shooting experience.

There is much family fun at Egg Harbor Fun park, come rain or shine. They have lots of arcade machines indoors.

They have a snack bar, pizza, and ice cream. They have an 18-hole miniature golf course, batting cages, jump shot trampoline, water wars, basketball, kiddie rides, a bounce zone, birthday parties, group events, paintball guns, go-karts, and more.

I highly recommend Egg Harbor Fun Park in Wisconsin to all my family and friends. A family could spend a day at the Egg Harbor Fun Park and never get bored. There are activities for everyone to have a fantastic day at Egg Harbor Fun Park, Wisconsin. Their prices are very reasonable—an excellent place for family fun.

Gravity Trails Zip Lining Egg Harbor Door County, Wisconsin

I had an excellent experience zip-lining With Gravity Trails in Door County, Wisconsin. Our guides were amiable, helpful, and accommodating. Our guides helped us get into our harnesses and tightened the helmets on our heads for us. They showed my friends and me how to climb the 25 ft. climbing wall on our way to our zip-lining adventure. I was delighted that I could make it to the top of the climbing wall. I felt incredibly accomplished when I reached the top of the climbing wall.

I put my gloves on when I reached the top of the climbing wall. I watched two of my friends zip line across to the other side. It was now my turn to zip line to the other side.

I might scream and be nervous initially, but I was beautiful. I enjoyed zip line to the other side. I was thrilled with my experience of zip lining. The second zip line had a little more of a drop to it. On my third zip line, I was coming in very fast. I stopped before I made it to the platform. I was nervous and scared. My Guide reassured me that he would come out quickly and help me to the forum. My Guide Ben was powerful and got me to the platform soon. The last zip line had a dirt hill for a landing. I came to that landing spot on.

Gravity Trail zip line is beginner friendly. I had an excellent first-time experience with zip lining. Closed-toe shoes are required. There is a weight restriction of 225 pounds. All of the guides are certified and trained extensively. Their prices are very reasonable.

They have a gem mining area where you can see mine for fine gems. I was thrilled with my first-time zip-lining experience with Gravity Trails in Door County, Wisconsin.

My two guides, Ben and Justin, were excellent, polite, and friendly young men. I highly recommend zip ling with Gravity Trails to all my friends and family. Gravity Trails hosted my unique zip-lining experience.

I loved my vacation stay at Gordon Lodge in Door County, Wisconsin.

Our cabin that we stayed in looked directly out at Lake Michigan. Gordon Lodge is nestled on a Peninsula between North Bay and Lake Michigan. Gordon Lodge has Lodge rooms, cottages, and suites. The site is located on 130 beautiful acres. It is very relaxing and tranquil there. They have had guests for over eighty years. We had a spectacular view every morning. I enjoyed looking at the Canadian Geese in the morning. The flowers on the property were beautiful. I enjoyed walking around the Lodge in the morning and evening. A site is an excellent place for weddings and receptions to be held.

I was very impressed with the size of the rooms. All of the rooms in the cottage were well-appointed. The kitchen area had a microwave, refrigerator, dishes, and glasses. I stayed in the house with a friend. My friend’s bedroom had two double beds. My bedroom had a king-size bed and a bathroom connected to the bedroom. The bedrooms had beautiful lighting. I wouldn’t say I like rooms with hardly any lights. We had two bathrooms in our cottage. My bathroom had a wonderfully clean, modern walk-in shower. The other bathroom had a tub and shower combination. The bathrooms were spotless. We had plenty of spare towels in our bathrooms. The Living Room had a couch and a wicker chair to sit on. We had a lovely fireplace in the Living Room with a TV above the fireplace.

I was very impressed with the activities that Gordon Lodge had to offer. They have a good size heated swimming pool and a hot tub. The Lodge has a fitness center, hiking trails, a tennis court, bicycles, and water activities. One could be pleased and entertained by staying at Gordon Lodge for the entire vacation.

I was also very impressed with their morning breakfast buffet. I had scrambled eggs with feta cheese, bacon, fresh fruit, potatoes, and potato pancakes.

They also had orange juice and coffee. To end my breakfast, I tried some of their pastries. I loved their cherry and almond-flavored pie. Our hostess was bright and welcoming every morning.

I loved the peace and tranquility that I found at Gordon Lodge. I had an excellent, quiet, relaxing evening with my friend at Gordon Lodge. The sunsets at Gordon Lodge are spectacular.

I loved walking around their property in the evenings and taking pictures of the incredible sunsets.

I would highly recommend staying at Gordon Lodge to my family and friends. I had a wonderful, relaxing, and tranquil stay at Gordon Lodge. Gordon Lodge hosted my visit with them. When I go to Door County, Wisconsin again, I will stay at Gordon Lodge.

I have always loved history. I went to the Kinney Pioneer Museum as a young child. I have enjoyed the rich history of North Iowa that the Kinney Pioneer Museum has on display. The articles tell the story of North Iowa from the very beginning. I was a tour guide at the museum for eight years. I was president of the museum for two years.

The museum has beautiful fossils, shells, and Indian relics. The arrowheads at the museum are mostly Sioux and Winnebago and were collected in this area.

The museum has some early pioneer items that go back 100 years or more. They have a large bear trap on display. It takes two men to set this large trap. The Doris Markley estate gave the museum a fantastic bedroom set. The Markleys were one of the pioneer families of early Mason City. In the dining room, a set of Wedgewood china is brought to this area by oxcart. The kitchen has an icebox, a coal-burning stove, a spice chest, and many more exciting items.

A doctor’s office display came from Dr. Edward Kennedy that once practiced in Swaledale, Iowa. The dentist equipment came from a dentist that practiced dentistry in Clear Lake in about 1898. There are many early dentistry tools to look at.

There are early shortwave radios, phonographs, and musical instruments on display. One of the violins is about 300 years old. They have many dolls on display. Many are dated dolls that go back as far as 1850. There are many old iron toys to look at.

They have many obsolete agricultural tools that the early pioneers used. They have hand corn shellers and woodworking tools, etc.

I love to look at the many cars on display. I especially love the old Colby car manufactured in Mason City, Iowa, from 1911 to 1914. It is the last Colby car left of 900 made. I love looking at the old buggy, dairy wagons, fire engines, farm equipment, etc.

They have a grand old school with old school books, a jail, a blacksmith shop with tools, and an old log cabin with items they used at that time.

The museum has Harry’s Sweet Shop and an old Country Store display. Harry’s Sweet Shop was in Mason City, Iowa. They have items from Decker’s Meat packing plant that once operated in Mason City, Iowa.

The Kinney Pioneer Museum has many special events throughout the year. The special events are as follows:

Conestoga Cookout Vintage Car Day Ice Cream Social Kids Day Cider & Donut Day

The museum is open from May thru Sept. from 1 to 5 PM. or by appointment. Admission is $2.50 for adults and .50 cents for children.

The Kinney Pioneers Museum has many more beautiful displays to look at. I would highly recommend going to this beautiful museum. They have a wonderful collection of early North Iowa history.

I buy a cage according to my cat’s willingness to enter the cell. Some cats will put up a horrible fuss when you are trying to put them in a cage.

I have bought a cloth bag for transporting my cats. The cloth bags work fine for a well-behaved cat. My cat Sebastian figured out how to unzip the cloth bag. The zippers seem to wear out quickly on the cloth bags.

Cages with a small door work fine for cats that do not mind going in and out of cells. Temperamental cats will put their foot in the way of the door, and it is about impossible to get them out of the small door.

I have several homemade cages that work well. They are made out of plywood. The wooden cells have a lot of holes drilled in them for ventilation. They also have hinges and hooks for securing your cat during transportation.

My favorite cage is medium-sized. The pen has a large frontal opening. The pen also has a door on top of the cell. The door on the top is the entire length of the cell. It is straightforward to get cats in and out of this cage.

I put the pen up on the end for cats that do not like cages with the door wide open. I then pick my cat up by the nape of his neck, put the back legs in first, and close the cage door quickly. Sometimes I put some tuna in a cage, and he walks right in and eats his tuna. He will think that when I enter a pen, I will get a nice reward and be more accessible the next time you want to transport him.

When transporting my cats, I always line the cage with paper towels or newspapers. This will make cage clean-up easy when you return home with your cat.

Coffee and Treats from Mason City, Iowa Local Coffee Shops

I had a wonderful visit with Betsy Leigh Kirby and Jenny Doughty. Betsy was a wonderful hostess.

Betsy made a wonderful egg muffin bake recipe based on the recipe from Clinton Kelly. She added some extra eggs and cheese. They were awesome egg muffins. They had a wonderful texture and taste.

I tried the coffee from Jitters in Mason City, Iowa. Their coffee had an excellent mild, and pleasant taste. I also tried the coffee from Cabin Coffee in Mason City, Iowa. It had a robust and fantastic taste. Cabin coffee grinds all of its coffee on-site. I have been going to Cabin Coffee since they first opened. I enjoy the atmosphere and how they have it decorated.

Coffee Cat in Mason City, Iowa, gave us beautiful treats to sample. She bakes these marvelous healthy treats at her coffee shop. I love her coffee. It has a robust and pleasant taste. She sells pottery and paintings from local North Iowa artists. I have purchased the honey that she sells in her shop, which is excellent. She has book signings from North Iowa writers. She has people come to her shop and play music at night. It is good music in a relaxing atmosphere. The name of the business is now Three On The Tree.

I love visiting these coffee shops in Mason City, Iowa, with friends. These coffee shops are excellent places to stay with friends, relax, and enjoy a refreshing day. I like their Frappes and Lattes and Cappuccinos. I want a Cappuccino with dry foam and caramel on top of the foam. I also like caramel Frappes. I like hazelnut and caramel Lattes.

I highly recommend all these beautiful coffee shops in Mason City, Iowa.

I would highly recommend the Bark Break Hotel. Their facility is well-lit and extra clean. They sold their business to another party that boards your pets.

You can tell that the owners genuinely love cats and dogs. They only feed the pets that stay their food made in the USA.

Your cat will stay in a nice kitty condo, allowing them to exercise and move around quickly. The area for dogs is extra roomy. Your pet will have fresh,h clean water every day. They have added on to their facility. The new addition allows them to accommodate more pets while offering the best care possible. Your cat or dog’s home away from home.

The pets Imett there were as happy as could be. They had lots of toys to play with.

Their boarding rates are pretty reasonable. Your cat or dog can stay for one day, a week, or longer. The rates for your cat are $15.00 per night. If your catstayedy forseven7 nights prepaid,d you will get 10 % off of your bill. If your cat stayed for 14 nights prepaid, you would get 15% off of your account. One dog is $25.00 per night. Multiple dogs sharing the same suite are charged $20.00 per dog.

Cats or dogs must be spayed or neutered bysix6 months or older. Your cat or dog must have all of their shots up to date. All dogs or cats in the facility have their photos up to date. A pet with images up to date is a healthy and happy pet.

They have cameras on your pet. You can watch your pet from your smartphone. You will see that she is happy and content at the Bark Break Hotel.

They fill out a sheet for each pet with all their health information. They have had up to six new customers in one day. They have a vet on call 24 / 7. They have Mason City Vet Clinic on call.

I was impressed with the Bark Break Hotel. I would highly recommend it to all my friends who need a safe and clean place to board their dog or cat while away from home.

I have been going to Dr. Burgmeier for many years. They have a friendly office and amiable staff.

The dental hygienists are very friendly and professional. She always cleans my teeth to perfection. She is very gentle when she cleans my teeth. I have never left their office with sore or bleeding gums. They have a variety of flavors you can choose from when you get your teeth polished. I chose a coconut flavor last time. My dental hygienist encouraged me to start using dental floss. My gums are in better shape now.

Dr. Burgmeier always makes sure my teeth are healthy. He continuously checks the inside of my mouth for any sores. He contains my fillings to ensure they are still tight and in good shape.

I never feel that I have to have too many X-rays. They always give the number of X-rays that you need and no more.

I always get the same dental hygienist. I am thrilled always to be able to have her every time. I think it is good to have a hygienist that is familiar with your mouth and teeth. By having the same hygienist every time, you don’t have to explain your old dental history over again to a different hygienist.

I have always been thrilled and satisfied with the friendly and kind staff at Burgmeier Dentistry. They always get me in on time and care for my every dental need.

I would highly recommend Burgmeier Dentistry to all of my family and friends.

I had a wonderful time at Root Makeup in Waverly, Iowa. I went to Root with Sara Broers and Kristen Greazel. I had a wonderful day. Krista Dolash is the founder of Root.

Krista told me that all her makeup products contain no chemicals. All of her makeup products are made out of natural minerals. Most of her products are made on-site.

Krista is a very talented woman and very knowledgeable. She developed all of her makeup products herself. She was concerned about the chemicals that most makeup products contain. She wanted to create makeup products that were 100% chemical free.

Makeup products from Root can be applied quite easily. Krista put my makeup on for me. She found the right colors for my complexion very quickly. Makeup from Root has a nice light feeling to it. I can hardly feel the makeup on my face. I wouldn’t say I like heavy-feeling makeup.

Krista applied the different steps of makeup to my face. She also explained how to use all of the other stages.

The root is located in a beautiful building in Waverly, Iowa, on a corner lot. Her building has a nice airy feeling. I love how her store is decorated.

Root makeup is 100% safe around cats. Root makeup contains no harmful chemicals. If your cat accidentally gets into Root makeup, it would be 100% secure.

I had not worn makeup for a while. I will be wearing it now. I love that Root makeup has such a light feeling on my face and is chemical-free.
