Life in the Day of a Cat

My cats start their mornings by giving me fresh water and cat food. I then clean out their litter boxes. They always drink the fresh water that I have put out for them. My cats eat some of their cat food. The cats then run upstairs and look out of my picture window at the birds eating from my various bird feeders. Conrad and Kohl look through their cat toy box and select the toy of interest for the day to play with. They consistently choose at least one toy that is filled with catnip. They will throw the catnip toy up in the air and then lick it later. They take turns sitting on my lap later on in the day.

My cat family next door starts their day with fresh water and food and clean cat litter boxes. Lorenzo constantly licks my hand every morning after I clean out the litter box. The kittens play with their Mother’s tail and the various cat toys in the house. The adult cats love to sit on the windowsill cat beds and watch the world go by. All of my cats like the cat scratching post combination cat beds. They love to chase each other playfully throughout the house. When I check on them throughout the day, they are generally lying on one of the cat beds and looking outdoors at nature. I give them cat treats and canned cat food as an afternoon snack. I hold them, pat them on their heads, and scratch them under their chins. My cat Russ enjoys being in his enclosed Cat Playpen.

My outdoor cats start their mornings with an early morning hunt. They like to hunt in the ditches and the cornfield for mice. My outdoor cats are all good mousers. I give them fresh water and cat food in the morning. I will find them lying in the shade and relaxing on a hot day. When I have had outdoor kittens, they love to play with leaves that blow around in the wind. In the winter months, they sleep in their heated cat beds. They always have water to drink in the winter with their heated water bowl for pets. They have some tennis balls to bat around in their building.

I adopted Ginger, a Chocolate Point Siamese cat, from an animal shelter. She was about four months old when I adopted her. She had fleas when I first got her. I washed her with flea shampoo and flea dip for cats.

Ginger would follow me around the house. She would watch me doing various activities around the house. Ginger quickly learned the time of day that I would get up in the morning. She would meow very loudly at preciously the same time every morning. I no longer needed to use my alarm clock.

The only time bats would get in my house was when a new roof was being installed. One morning I woke up with a bat in my hair. I started screaming as I could feel the bat moving around on my head. It finally freed itself and flew off. I put my sheet over my head. The bat landed on the sheet on my head. Ginger got into action; she chased the bat all around my bedroom. She wore out the bat so I could catch it and put it outdoors where it belonged. Ginger was at the foot of my bed, huffing and puffing from her ordeal of wearing out the bat. She wore herself out too. Ginger was sixteen years old when she wore out the bat and herself.

Ginger watched me flush the toilet. She jumped on the toilet tank one day and washed my bathroom.

Ginger watched me turn on the answering machine every time I left the house for some time. I forgot to turn on the answering device one day. I had a house for rent that day. I thought I would miss all of my calls that morning. Ginger heard the phone ringing and must have felt to herself why isn’t that answering machine taking over? Ginger must have pushed her paw on the answering machine power button. When I got home, the light was flashing on the answering device. A lady had left a message saying she wanted to see my house for rent. The lady ended up renting my home. Ginger, my cat secretary, ended up renting my home to me.

Never underestimate the intelligence of your cat. They are more observant than you ever imagined.

I love to sit in a chair and watch my cats. Cats are very relaxing to watch. I love to watch them clean themselves with their paw. It is relaxing to watch a sleeping cat. A cat can help you settle down after a stressful day.

It has been proven that owning a pet helps lower your blood pressure. People that own pets tend to live longer. Cats are an excellent company. Cats are good listeners and never talk back to you.

Cats are good mousers. Cats can catch and kill rabbits that eat away in your garden. Some of my cats have even killed a rat outdoors. Some cats and dogs become the best of friends.

If you are sad and lonely, having a cat in the house will help you have a brighter and happier day. Listening to a cat purr is very relaxing.

Kittens are so much fun to watch. It is fun to watch them play with their mother’s tails. Watching them pounce on leaves that fly around in the wind is fun. A kitten’s curiosity is boundless. Kittens will give you many hours of enjoyment.

Watching your cat throw toy mice up in the air and catch them is a joy. I like to watch my cats chase after balls. My cats love to cuddle with their catnip toys from LoopiesToys.Com. My cat Conrad plays a circle game with a light-up ball in the middle. I like to watch him having fun with that cat toy.

Cats are genuinely excellent companions. A cat can give you many years of happiness, joy, and love. A cat is there for you when you wake up in the morning. When I come home from a long day, my cats meet me at the door. Having a cat is awesome.
