People Who Fight Against All Odds
I like people with a positive attitude. People who see the glass as half full inspire us to keep moving forward. When someone tells me I cannot do something, I always aim to prove them wrong. Years ago, I was told I couldn’t win a contest that a group of farmers had tried to figure out how to plant their fields at a horrible angle. I won that contest by thinking outside the box and finding the right angle. One woman told me to leave because I couldn’t possibly win, and I proved her absolutely wrong. People who lose limbs from wars or who are born that way learn how to overcome their disabilities and contribute much to society and inspire us every day.
People With Illnesses
Doctors have told people they have only so many years to live, and some have far outlived those estimates. A person must have faith in God and the will to live. One woman had brain cancer, and her Doctor told her she had 6 months to live if she did not have brain surgery. She opted out of the surgery, and she lived 30 years. I remember a man who had prostate cancer, and the Doctor said he would live with treatment. He kept telling his Doctor he was going to die, and his Doctor told us he could not save that man, as he was determined he was going to die. Tell yourself you will beat your illness, and I am sure you will live longer than their estimates because if you think you are beaten, you truly are.
People That Help And Inspire Others
I started with a teacher who used me as the class guinea pig, as I was a very sickly child, and she ran with that. I had a bad time relating and interacting with girls and talking to any woman after that for many years. The first woman besides my mother to truly defend me was my fifth-grade school teacher. She put an end to all of the students who tried to pick on me, as she would not tolerate that kind of behavior in her classroom. We became close friends, and I cherish the wonderful travels and experiences we shared. My illness later in life and the blogging group that my neighbor started, and several of the bloggers in my group, finally inspired me to talk to women and realize that they were not plotting against me to fail, as my kindergarten teacher had instilled in my mindset when she encouraged the girls in the classroom to make fun of me. Having my first interaction with a bully from a teacher scared me for most of my life. My illness, God, and the blogging group brought my voice back as I realized people wanted to hear what I had to say. Everyone noticed the change in me, and so did I. Thank you, God, and inspirational friends and inspirational people. God bless all those who inspire us to do more, become better, and become kinder, more compassionate, and more caring people.
