Getting On The Wrong Train

My friend and I were put on the wrong train for our destination. We asked our conductor when the stop did not seem right to us. He looked at our tickets and said we would arrive at our destination one hour sooner than we would have if we had been on the other train. We were very fortunate, as it would have arrived at dark if we had been on the train they had first planned for us to be on.

Being Locked In A Restroom

I was traveling in Europe when a woman who ran a pharmacy locked me in her restroom. I guess it must have been a private one, but it did not say so on the restroom door. A friend told her she had to unlock the door, and she would not take no for an answer. Thank goodness, or our tour group would have left without my friend and me, which would have left us in horrible straights. I got locked in a restroom at a store where I had purchased an item, and someone locked the door, and I had only ten minutes to get to my bus, so I started to try to break the door down, which was making quite a noise, and then miraculously the door opened, and I was the last one to board the bus.

Restroom Attendants And More

One restroom attendant kept banging on our stall doors, yelling at us to get out after 30 seconds in the stall. In Europe, one toilet seat was turned around, a new seat cover was put on, and disinfectant was sprayed on the toilet. After I got out of the restroom, the owner said we had to buy something, which I intended to do anyway. One country we traveled in had a man attendant for the women, and the men had a woman attendant, which was surely different. One bathroom the bus stopped at had a machine that sprayed water everywhere to clean the bathroom after you flushed the toilet. I made the mistake of washing my hands before I left the stall, and the door locked, and water was spraying everywhere. I had to run around in circles for ten minutes before the door would open.

Airplane Delays

I  don’t like being delayed on airline flights, as it may prevent me from making my next flight on time. One time, I had to run at full speed ahead, and when I got there, she would not let us on our plane. She said if we were VIPS, she would have—a woman with too much attitude. If you have trouble navigating an airport, ask for wheelchair assistance on your next flight so you do not have to run when you really shouldn’t have to. Many people have had heart attacks trying to catch flights.

Food Choices

When you cannot eat certain foods because of health issues, most people are accommodating, which I very much appreciate. On a flight, if you sit in the back, your food choices can be gone most of the time. I was at a restaurant recently where she said she could not wash the gravy off my meatballs because she was very busy and could not be bothered with food requests, so I ended up with a very small bowl of lettuce. Needless to say, I will never go back to that restaurant again. Luckily, most places aim to please all of their customers as word of mouth speaks volumes.
