I was provided tickets to the African Safari Wildlife Park Located in Port Clinton, Ohio, to facilitate my review. All thoughts are 100 % honest and my own.

We were given a large cup of food to feed the animals just before entering the park. Alpacas ran up to our car to greet us. We threw some food at them, and they devoured it. We could watch them through the car windows, or you can have your windows down on your car. The Alpaca would stick their heads in your car and look at you. As we drove through the park, a lot of small deer came up right next to our car, and we fed them. Later, the White Bison ran to the car and looked at us. A car in front of us had the Bison sticking their heads in their car, waiting for them to feed them. I liked looking at the two-humped camels and the Scottish Highlander cattle. Some people had purchased carrots from the man at the gate to provide for the Giraffes. The giraffes would stick their heads down over the fence and eat up the carrots they were given. I found our drive through the park exciting and educational. I was not aware of the fact that these animals would be as gentle as they were.

We did the walk thru part of the park also. The White-Handed Gibbons entertained us with their acrobatic movements. They would swing on the ropes and sway back and forth on the ropes. I loved looking at the Red Kangaroo in the park. I found the White American Alligator interesting to look at in the fact that it was all white. There were many more animals to look at. I was given tickets to the merry-go-round museum in Sandusky, Ohio. All thoughts are 100% honest and my own.

I enjoyed looking at all of the carousel items. I discovered that the rooster was a rare carousel item compared to the horse or the tiger.

I enjoyed riding on the old Merry-go-round at 9 miles per hour. Most Merry go rounds go around at 5 miles per hour. It was my 50th anniversary of depending on a Merry-go-round. I enjoyed my ride again after a fifty-year wait. Relive your childhood excitement at the Merry-Go-Round Museum as you ride the fully restored Allan Hershel carousel. They have a lot of old carousel tigers, horses, etc. The great carousel masters took lots of pride and joy in making them. The admission is only $6.00 for adults and $4.00 each for children 4 to 14 years of age and free for children four and under. You receive a token for a free ride on the Merry-Go-Round with your admission price. I loved all the craftsmanship that went into the horse I sat on on my merry-go-round ride. The carving of the wood and the paint was spot on.

I especially love carousel tigers, lions, and the more unusual variety of animals. I love the old carousel pump organ music that reminds me of my early childhood days. There are not many old carousels left in the world for us to enjoy anymore. I love that merrygoroundmuseum.org, in Sandusky, Ohio, takes great pride in preserving these great wooden masterpieces on the carousel rides.

I truly enjoyed spending part of my afternoon at the Merry-Go-Round Museum. I saw people there with their children having a fantastic time.

Kelleys Island Ohio

We were provided free boarding passes on the Jet Express to Kelleys Island. We were also offered a golf cart from Lil Casino to facilitate my review. All thoughts are 100 % honest and my own.

The Jet Express is the fastest way to the islands. The seats on the Jet Express were soft and comfy. Their rates are reasonable, and you make it to your island in only twenty minutes. The Jet Express was very clean. jet-express.com.

We picked up our golf cart from Lil Casino. Our golf cart worked fine; it was a breeze on Kelleys Island to get around safely and quickly. kelleysislandcasino.com.

Kelleys Island, Ohio’s largest island, is an outdoor lover’s delight. The island has incredible views, hiking trails, a coastline, and quarries. Riding around Kelleys Island in a golf cart is very relaxing and enjoyable.

The island is home to 600 acres of state park land. We looked at the Glacial Grooves, the world’s most extensive exposed glacial grooves. The island has hiking and biking along the shoreline with magnificent coastal views.

There are a lot of places to eat an ice cream cone. You can dine at an outdoor patio and eat some of Lake Erie’s finest walleye or perch. I had a perch sandwich, and it was delicious. I love the architecture of the homes on Kelleys Island. The entire island is on the National Register of Historic Places. I was fascinated with the architecture of Kelleys Island’s older homes and buildings.

I loved shopping and looking in the various stores on Kelleys Island. We went to the Glacial Grooves, and I was taken aback by what nature can do over some time to rocks. I would highly recommend looking at the Glacial Grooves. I loved the peace and tranquility that I felt while I was on Kelleys Island. It is very rejuvenating to spend time on Kelleys Island.

Maritime Museum Ohio

I was provided a free pass to the Maritime Museum located in Sandusky, Ohio. All thoughts are 100% honest and my own.

I was very impressed with the knowledge of our tour guide at the museum. I could tell he had a passion for old Maritime items and their importance in our history. Sandusky has a rich Maritime history. Through their interactive exhibits and educational programs, you can learn much about boat building, ice harvesting, commercial fishing, shipwrecks, wetlands, Sandusky’s role in the Underground Railroad, recreational boating, commercial shipping, passenger boats, and much more.

I learned that keeping one fish fresh takes ten pounds of ice while in transport. Some of the main fish in the area are Perch and Yellow Bass, and the local restaurants offer them for sale on their menus.

Kids can make their little sailboats to take home with them. Young adults and their parents can build a small boat to take home. The class provides all of the material for the ship and the course on how to make the boat for a total cost of only $300.00. Young children can learn how to create and tie Maritime knots.

There are a lot of old-time wooden boats on display that are in mint condition; many of the ships were made in Sandusky, Ohio. They stopped making these wooden boat beauties because of fiberglass and aluminum, which did not take the maintenance to maintain that the wooden boats take to keep.

The museum has a lot of old Maritime tools and equipment. They also have a collection of items from the Underground Railroad. They have chains, shackles, and pictures of the houses that helped with the Underground Railroad network. They have educational films on the Maritime Industry and the Underground Railroad. I hired Skyline Tree Service to remove many trees in my groove and trim some trees around my building site. I was very impressed with Skyline Tree Service, which is located in Riceville, Iowa. They did an excellent job. My trees look well-manicured now. They were careful not to tear my yard as they worked on my trees. They take a lot of pride in their work, and they work quickly and in a very professional manner. They pushed the trees into a big pile that was easy for me to burn.

They did a fantastic job of thinning out the trees in my groove. The trees in my track were planted too close to each other, so they thinned out. The trees they left in my groove can get a lot of sun and air filtration now, so that they will do much better in the future. They explained how a tree would fill out more and remain healthier with the proper air filtration and sun.

They trimmed up my evergreens to get more air movement through them, which helped prevent needle cast. The evergreens are not touching the ground anymore; therefore, they will dry out much quicker after a rainstorm, making for a healthy and sturdy evergreen.

They sawed down many of my old Ash trees that were rotten in the middle. They also took down several evergreens for me that had needle cast disease. They removed 38 large stumps for me, put fresh dirt in the holes, and then applied grass seed, a variety that can withstand the summer heat. There were a lot of wood chips left over from getting rid of the stumps I placed between my garden rows. Wood chips prevent green bean and potato blight, keep the weeds down, and fertilize your soil.

They have three friendly and ambitious men in their crew. They work quickly and do a top-notch job. They have all of the necessary equipment to get the job done. They clean up every branch and take your tree or bush debris. Your property looks so much better when you hire professionals to trim up your trees, and they are nice and healthy looking. A restorative well, the taken-care tree will provide shade and a windbreak for many years. Depending on your planted variety, healthy trees can live 45 to 150 years.

Skyline Tree Service also trimmed up several of my bushes for me. My brushes look lovely now. By not letting your trees touch each other, you can prevent many diseases from spreading from tree to tree. They trimmed a lot of dead branches out of my trees, also. Ohio Put - In - Bay

I was provided tickets to Millers Ferries, E’s Island Golf Carts, Perry’s Cave Family Fun Center, Heineman’s Winery, and Crystal Cave to facilitate my review. All thoughts are 100 % honest and my own.

My ride on Miller Ferry to Put-in-Bay was pleasant and relaxing. One of the men on the Ferry explained what we saw as we sailed along in our Ferry to Put-in-Bay. Miller Ferries prices are very affordable. The Ferry departs every half hour and only takes eighteen minutes to get to Put-in-Bay. MillerFerry.Com.

We walked a little distance to our golf cart provided by E’s Island Golf carts. The name on our golf cart was Lollipop. It was straightforward to locate our golf cart since they named her Lollipop. Maneuvering around Put-in-Bay in our golf cart was beautiful. We never had any issues with our golf cart. The battery in our golf cart was fully charged when we first took off. I highly recommend using a golf cart to get around Put-in-Bay. Riding in the golf cart made getting around in Put-in-Bay a breeze. esputinbaygolfcarts.com.

South Bass Island Lighthouse is a lovely Lighthouse to visit. They have a very knowledgeable tour guide. He will tell you the complete history of the Lighthouse. I love to look at old Lighthouses and learn about their vast history. I like to think of all the lives saved throughout the years because of Lighthouses. I think about the light in the Lighthouses leading the men to safety from the stormy weather.

We went to Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial. I was very impressed with this memorial. The memorial is a Doric column, rising 352 ft. over Lake Erie, and is situated five miles from the longest undefended border in the World.

We went to Perry’s Cave Family Fun Center. I enjoyed their butterfly house. They had various colored butterflies to look at and take pictures of. Sitting, watching, and looking at the butterflies while they ate the oranges and flew around in their butterfly house was enjoyable and relaxing. Perry’s Cave was fascinating to look at. Anyone tall had to bend over as they walked through the Cave. Perry’s Cave Family Fun Center had a lot of exciting things for kids to do. I will mention a few of them. They have Gemstone Mining, 18 holes Miniature Golf Course a rock climbing wall, and more. perrycave.com.

We went to Heineman’s Winery, which was founded in 1888 and is a fifth-generation winery. They are the oldest family-owned winery in Ohio. They sell award-winning wines. heinemanswinery.com.

We went to Crystal Cave and saw the Worlds largest celestite geode. I loved looking at all the magnificent and awesome crystals in the Cave. It was easy to get around in the Cave and look at the crystals nature had made over the years.

Put-in-Bay has a lot of good eating establishments. Along the Boardwalk, you can have sandwiches, Lobster, Tacos, Pizza, and Lobster Bisque Soup; you and your kids can do many activities and things. You could stop at the Cedar Point Theme Park and spend the day riding the different rides with your kids. There are plenty of places to shop and many points of interest to see in Put-in-Bay, Ohio. I was provided three nights of lodging at the Sawmill Creek Resort Lake Erie Shores and Islands. All thoughts are 100% honest and my own.

My room is nice and clean and nicely appointed—the lighting where my computer is fantastic. The pillows on my bed are nice and fluffy. I have a lightweight comforter on my bed with a white sheet covering the comforter. My room has a lovely couch to sit on while you watch the TV set in my bedroom. In the Fall and Winter months, you can use a gorgeous fireplace under the TV set surrounded by pinewood. The bathroom has an excellent tub-shower combination, and there is an ample supply of towels, shampoo, and soap. A beautiful makeup mirror and high-wattage bulbs in the bathroom make getting your makeup on in the morning fast and easy. They have supplied a hair dryer for your use. The hallways are clean, and there is adequate lighting in the hallways.

I love the pictures of the animals in our room. We have a tile floor in the bathroom and carpet in the bedroom area. The entryway has a knotty pine floor. The Lodge has provided robes for our use. The air conditioner and heating unit are modern and easy to operate and maintain the temperature you want in your room.

The bed is nice and soft and exactly what I want to sleep on for a relaxing night’s rest. Our TV works and has a lovely crisp and clear color. The parking lot is well-lit, which I greatly appreciate at night. I love the deadbolt lock on our room door. I went to Disney World with my friend Sara, of travelwithsara. We had a wonderful time looking at and enjoying a lot of the beautiful attractions at Disney World.

I loved watching It’s a Bugs Life in Animal Kingdom at Disney World. The movie was very educational about insects. The graphics and sound effects were expertly done. The insects in the film were lively and funny, and at the same time, you learned the benefits of having insects in our world.

I loved the ride called Soarin, located in Epcot at Disney World. The ride was like you were soaring over what you saw on the screen. I felt like I was on a hang glider, moving over what I saw on the net. I could have ridden on this ride all day long if it had been possible, yet the passage in the car at Test Track in Epcot at Disney World. The ride was fun and fast, yet not too fast. You had the feeling that you were testing out a race car. The color of the car I rode in was red, which suits a race car perfectly.

I found The Land in Epcot at Disney World informative and educational. The Land teaches you about plants and fish farming. Disney World can harvest 20,000 heads of lettuce a year which they serve at their restaurants on their grounds. They had catfish and walleyes that they were raising. They were using hydroponics to water the plants at The Land. The tomato plants were loaded with healthy ripe tomatoes in the water only. The broccoli plants were hanging with their roots down and circulating through a track that sprayed their hearts with water. All of their vegetables looked very healthy and tasty.

The Carousel of Progress in Tomorrowland at The Magic Kingdom in Disney World was one of my favorite attractions. I loved how they talked about the old-time chores with housework and how our appliances have changed over the years. They mentioned that doing the laundry took 25 hours a week in the 1940s. The Carousel of Progress ends with modern times and shows us all the beautiful improvements over the years o make our lives much more accessible and better. The mannequins looked like real people and were excellent narrators.

I would highly recommend these expertly done attractions at Disney World.

I love Fiero Pizza. I designed my pizza. I choose a white crust with chicken, pineapple, cheese, black olives, white sauce, and mushrooms. Their pizza was the best pizza I have ever eaten in my lifetime. Fiero Pizza was voted No. 1 out of the 626 restaurants in Sioux Falls.

I had a wonderful salmon dinner at the All Day Cafe. My salmon was baked to perfection. I had a salad with a balsamic vinegar dressing. The seasoning on my salmon was just right. I also liked their root beer. It had a light caramel flavor.

My friends and I ate at Mama’s Ladas. They have Enchiladas and a wine bar. I ate two chicken enchiladas. I loved the sauce on my enchiladas. It was mild with just the right amount of seasoning. Their restaurant has a warm and friendly atmosphere.

I ate a gourmet burger at Taphouse 41. I ordered a well-done burger with Swiss cheese and mushrooms on it. My burger was done just the way I wanted it done. I had some of their french fries. Their fries were not greasy. My friend’s gourmet burgers looked awesome.

We stopped at Half Baked. They have fancy cupcakes. They also serve coffee. I love the caramel lattes that they had. My friend ate a cupcake that she liked and loved the flavor of.

I was very impressed with C H Patisserie. We met Chris Hanmer the owner of C H Patisserie. He has been named one of the top 10 Pastry Chefs in America. I loved his salted caramel macaroons. Their flavor of them was out of this world. I have eaten French pastries in France, and his pies are much better. All of Chris Hanmer’s pastries are complete works of art. I had to take some of his works of art home to eat later.

We ate at Phillips Avenue Diner. It was the fifties-looking diner. It had aluminum outside the building and an old soda fountain area. I loved the fifties atmosphere. I ordered a chicken burger with Swiss cheese, mushrooms, s, and sweet potato fries. My food tasted beautiful. My friend’s hamburgers looked genuinely excellent. My friends ordered a milkshake. Their milkshakes were nice and thick.

I would highly recommend any of these great food places to eat while you are in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I had beautiful works of art to dining at these fine food establishments.
