Vulnerable

Vulnerable

All of us feel very vulnerable at times. Depending on our situation, we may feel unsafe, at risk, or endangered; when we are young or elderly, it is easier for people to take advantage of us. When we are young and naive or elderly, someone may have the upper hand on us. We are very trusting in general of other people. In times of hardship and trials, people tend to pray for others and exploit the situation to line their pockets. We must always be on guard for uncouth characters that are out and about.

We are very vulnerable in times of a pandemic. Some people think price gouging is OK. I think price gouging is as low as you can go. Never take advantage of people struggling to buy and need essential items to survive. Remember the Golden Rule and live by it every day of your life. The Golden rule is: Do Unto Others As You Would  Have Them Do Unto To You.

Many phone scammers and internet scammers make a living taking advantage of vulnerable people. They may get by with that on earth, but they will not get by with that on Judgement day. Some places keep sending out donation forms, hoping you will forget that you just paid them.

The price of face masks and other essentials that we need due to our pandemic are all over the place. Since March 1st, 2020, my grocery bill for the same items has increased by $40.00. Everyone has to pay a lot more for all of their essential items.

Are healthcare workers on the front lines vulnerable to catching Covid – 19? Remember to thank healthcare workers daily as they fight to help save our lives. People with preexisting conditions and illnesses are very vulnerable to catching Covid – 19. Stay home and only go out for essential items for the next life you save just might be your own. Covid – 19 does not discriminate against anyone or any age group. All of us could die from this pandemic that we are in.

Be nice to people, businesses, and all people that you meet. If a store is out of an item you need or want, do not lose your cool; it is not their fault if they are waiting for supplies. Do not get irate and out of control with workers. It takes us all long to get supplies than it used to, as that is the new normal. We must beat this pandemic together, as it is genuine and could kill us anytime. Follow all of the rules and stay safe and well. God bless you and yours.

Life Has Many Challenges

Life Has Many Challenges

Life has many up and downs. How you handle your downs can determine the rest of your life. I refuse to let negativity into my life. Negative thoughts lead to more and more negative thoughts, and you can become so weighed down that you cannot move forward anymore. Moving forward with your life and learning new things every day, and sharing what you have learned with others is what life is all about.

Do not stay stuck on a particular event in your life because it is over, and you can no longer change its outcome. By dwelling on things, you are robbing yourself of productive days. Time waits for no man, and we all have a limited number of days.

If something you are good at becomes more difficult for you to get done, never be afraid to ask for help. We are put on earth to help and praise each other for a well-done job. Consider the source if someone keeps criticizing you regardless of your best efforts.

Life is not easy for anyone, as we never know what might be on another person’s plate. Everyone has family concerns or health issues now and then. Never be too quick to Judge someone, for only God can be the Judge of man. God is the only one who can truly see what is in another person’s heart and soul.

If someone has challenges in their life, you may not know about them. Be kind, compassionate, and caring, and show genuine concern for your fellow man. Some people need food to eat or warm clothing to keep warm on a cold winter night. You never know the plight of someone else. Help people with the challenges they face and try to make their life better for them. Be the best steward that you can be every day. Try to serve your fellow man somehow today and put a smile on someone’s face today.

Expectations

Expectations

We all have strong expectations of what we want and should achieve. There will be positive and negative things that will happen to us in our lifetime. You can not expect to achieve great things without putting your heart and soul into your work. Nothing ever gets handed to you on a silver platter. It would be best if you worked for what you achieved in life. God will help you with your goals in life as he gives you the power and the ability to learn and work for what is important to you.

Expectations have limits. You cannot expect to gain instant fame overnight, as it may be a lifetime effort on your part. You generally get out of life what you put into your life. Remember always to stay focused on your goals in life and let no one dis-swayed you from achieving them. Your life will have many ups and downs but do not let the downs hold you down for too long. Life is fast-paced and waits for no man.

We expect to have a job and to get paid a decent wage for the work we do at our job. Layoffs occasionally happen, so you must save money for a rainy day. Certain health conditions will come up in our lives that may alter our expectations for a while or forever. We try to live up to the expectations of others to make them happy. Never let anyone take your expectations down the wrong road in life, for you know what is right and wrong. God is the only true Judge of man, so do not even try to Judge others, for you do not know their past or the roads they have been down.

We expect our friends to treat us fairly. We want a wonderful and kind, loving family. We all want good health and to feel reasonably safe in our homes. We hope our money will hold out for our lifetime. We hope we will have someone care for us in our old age. We expect good health care with experienced nurses and doctors that will treat us with the utmost respect.

God expects us to worship him and put him above all others. We hope God helps us get through all of life’s storms. God has always been by my side and is my constant companion and compass. God bless you and yours. Expect the best and achieve the most that you possibly can in life.

Growing Closer To God In These Trying Times

Growing Closer To God In These Trying Times

I have been reading more devotionals and religious books. I have been writing more inspirationswithlaura posts. Now is an excellent time to grow your relationship with God. Call and check on your friends and family often. Pray for your friends and the World’s being without ceasing.

Thank God for all the many blessings that you have in your life. Help and pray for those in need. God listens to our prayers and answers them when he knows we need him the most, and we can accept his answer to our prayers. God is our creator and only wants the best for his children.

Nature is very unpredictable, and we cannot control its outcome. Storms come to all of us in our lifetime, and how we handle the storms in our life makes all the difference in the World. We are put on earth to support, comfort, and uplift each other in these trying times.

I have been calling friends, family, and those in the rest homes and assisted living units. Talking to someone in difficult times is truly comforting. We are all in this pandemic together worldwide, so let’s help each other as much as possible.

God knows all of your thoughts before you can even say or think of them on your own. Life is full of new challenges and changes every day. You must adapt to changes faster than you may want in trying times like these. God has supported and uplifted you since you were born and even while you were in your Mother’s womb.

I know God is working on a cure for the Coronavirus, as he does not want any of his children to suffer. He is giving healthcare professionals ideas and knowledge of what to use or do to find a cure for the Coronavirus. We must be patient with God, knowing he and the health care professionals are working as hard as possible to see the end to this virus shortly. God bless you and yours, and stay safe and follow the rules to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.

Living With Promise

Living With Promise

If we make a promise to someone, we must go through with what we promised to do for them. A contract declares that you will or will not do a deed for someone. If someone tells you something in confidence, your promise is not to tell another living soul what they just told you in total confidence.

If you break a promise with someone, you have hurt your relationship with that person and damaged the confidence they had in you. A contract is not just something you say you will do it is something you must do if you have committed yourself to do so. If you say you will take someone to the grocery store and then you do not, word will get around that you break your promises and lose respect quickly.

If someone tells you you have a great promise, they are sure you will dedicate yourself to the job. A dedicated person does not stop a task halfway. They take charge of the finish line. Your promise to your employer is that you will do the best job possible and complete it promptly.

We promise to follow Jesus by keeping the sabbath day to rest and worship God. We promise to be good shepherds and spread God’s good works. We are to follow the Ten Commandments as they are not called the Ten suggestions. We promise to treat others as we would want to be treated if we were in the same situation as they are.

God promises to be by our side every day of our lives. Without God by our side, protecting and nurturing us, we would not make it in this World on our own. God gives us new hope daily, bringing joy, peace, and love. Jesus came down to earth as a human to bear the cross for our sins and died. He then rose again so we may have eternal life with God. Glory be to God in the highest.

Living In Paradise

Living In Paradise

You can live in paradise on earth. God has created many beautiful things for us to enjoy while on our earthly voyage in life. We enjoy seeing birds, flowers, scenery, majestic mountains, and more. Paradise is living a life in the present without hanging on to your baggage from the past. Your past should remain in the past since you can not change the outcome anymore.

We can delight in the company of friends. We can listen to and help each other with problems we may face. Give your friend an unexpected gift. Compliment your friends often. Their good fortunes should bring joy to your heart. Heaven can genuinely be a place on earth where you feel safe and sound, and the sounds of nature abound.

I find paradise living in the country. Watching animals being born in spring brings joy and hope into your life, for there are always new beginnings with new births. Baby animals of all types are so adorable. The sounds of nature, such as the ocean waves pounding, songbirds, raindrops hitting your windows, and much more, are the sounds of paradise that God created for us to enjoy while we are on earth.

Living in paradise on earth prepares us for the ultimate paradise we will have in heaven someday. Jesus died for our sins so that we may be in eternal paradise with him in heaven when we leave our earthly bodies behind. We will have a spiritual body that will know no more pain or suffering.

Do not let anyone hold you back in life. Let bygones be bygones, and move upward and forward with your life. Do not let any illness empower you. Embrace your illness, as God knows what you are going through. Your illness may be a wonderful gift that will help you grow closer to God, and you may be able to accomplish much more with your life than you ever thought was possible.

Paradise is around the corner for all of us if we take things in stride and let God be our compass in all of the days of our life on earth. We will reach our ultimate paradise next to God in heaven when we leave our earthly body and are in our new spiritual body.

Turbulence Ahead

Turbulence Ahead

We are not too nervous on an airplane; the pilot announces turbulence ahead. Still, when the plane starts rocking violently, we become alarmed and apprehensive about the outcome. In these troubled times, there is turbulence ahead.

We are living in very turbulent times. We are very concerned about our health and the health of our families. We prepare as much as possible when we go shopping. We may put on gloves and a mask and distance ourselves properly, but we are very concerned that we may endanger our lives, those we hold most dear, and other people we meet along life’s highway.

We ask God to protect us and shield us from this terrible pandemic. God and scientists are working to cure this devastating and unpredictable virus. I pray to God every day to help the World find a way to combat and end this pandemic. God is a pilot; he has led me out of many turbulent storms.

It is time for everyone to let God be their compass and pilot in life, for only he knows how to solve this pandemic that we are in. Be kind to everyone you meet in the grocery store, gas station, doctor’s office, and pharmacy. All of us are very stressed by the shortage of certain everyday products that we used to take for granted. Many people I know are not sleeping well at night and are having difficulty concentrating on daily living.

Pay attention to social distancing, as you might save your own life and the lives of many more people. Age does not make any difference in this pandemic, as any age group could die. No one is immune from death. Stay home unless it is an excellent health need or a grocery store run.

If we use common sense, we can beat this clever mutating virus. Thank you, God, for all the wonderful and fantastic healthcare workers working tirelessly to help keep us healthy and treat the sick and dying. Remember to thank any healthcare workers you see on the front line to help stop this pandemic.

God bless you and yours, and follow social distancing and pray without ceasing. Be kind, compassionate, caring, and an excellent example for others. Be patient and do not lose your temper with anyone trying to help you, as we are all in this together around the World.

The Dangers Of Being Self- Focused

The Dangers Of Being Self – Focused

Being self-focused is dangerous because you think of yourself only and become self-absorbed and obsessed with things or possessions. To be well-rounded, you must reach out to people and genuinely care about their well-being. Being obsessed with something takes you away from positive thoughts and things you should get done.

Being self-focused is like putting yourself in a little box and opening up the box when it only benefits you to do so. Putting yourself in a neat little box robs you of life and consumes your soul. Reach out to people and surround yourself with people, and you will feel much better. Look at the whole picture in life and live outside of the box.

By being obsessed with yourself, you rob yourself of a good connection with God. Without God in your life, you will stumble and fall and will not be able to get up again at some point. God has a path chosen for you. Make sure you walk the right way and do the right things on that path that will benefit many and not just yourself.

God and people do not care for someone who is self-centered and has lost their way on the right path. Pray to God without ceasing to help you stay on the track that will accomplish the most in your lifetime. There are many distractions in life, so be extra careful not to be distracted for long. Evil tries to overtake the good in you if you stay distracted or obsessed with something for too long. If money is your primary focus, you are entirely off of your chosen path in life. Money is truly the root of all evil as many get obsessed with amassing a larger and larger fortune that they do not spend to help those in desperate need.

Focus on God, family, friends, and what you can do to help others. Always be kind, compassionate, and genuinely care for the needs of others in your life and those in need you do not know. Continue to spread God’s good works every day.

What I Am Keeping Busy With

What I Am Keeping Busy With

I like to read history books and holy books. I want to call on people and visit with them. I have been working on my spring cleaning. My cats have nice fresh, clean towels to start their spring. I keep busy writing my various blog post. I watch a few TV programs that I have enjoyed over the years.

I try to talk to at least five people a day. We visit about current events, and I share my inspirationswithlaura blog post with those that do not have a computer. We can learn a lot of valuable information from each other as we have all had different life experiences.

I love writing and sharing my thoughts and ideas through my blog post. I love cats and have been around cats all of my life. I wish you a happy and healthy cat for many years. I am a lay minister for my church, and my goal is to spread God’s good works by writing a blog post on my website, which is inspirationswithlaura. I like to visit the rest homes and assisted living units and visit with the people there or call them on the phone. I find it rewarding and a gift from God to stay with them and share God’s good works.

I like to keep a clean and orderly home. I want to finish my spring cleaning early and give items to Goodwill, Affordables, and more. I love cleaning the wood floors upstairs and putting clean paper in the dresser drawers and kitchen cupboards. I vacuum under furniture and in crevices and corners. I defrost my freezer and rearrange the food and clean my refrigerator. I put a special cleaner in the washing machines that clean out debris. I tend everything in the curio cabinets. Dishes are cleaned and then put back in the cupboards. Everything gets a royal dusting. My basement gets vacuumed, and the floors get scrubbed. Old papers get shredded and thrown away. I go through all of my closets and weed out items that are no longer used. My litter boxes get cleaned, and the floors next door get scrubbed. A clean home makes for a healthy home as it cuts down on allergies considerably.

It is not hard to find things to do that will keep you busy and give you a great sense of accomplishment. God bless you with all of your endeavors.
