Why I Like To Travel

I like to travel because I discover something new and exciting everywhere. A new adventure is always around every corner.

Every place that you go has an exciting history. I love to find out the history of buildings. I am interested in the kind of businesses in that building over the years. One restaurant that I went to in England was called the Farrier. The restaurant used to be a stable for horses. I love to look at the beautiful architecture of the many different buildings and houses. I find it interesting how architecture has changed over the years in the various places I have visited.

It is fun to visit with the people you meet while traveling. I would like to know if they have lived in that area. I ask them what brought them to that particular area of the country. Sometimes they leave a room due to a job or health reasons. People have had to go where they grew up because of civil unrest or how an estate was distributed at the time of a relative’s death. Older persons like to move to the southern states in their old age. The warmer climate is better for aches and pains.

I love to try new foods when I am traveling. I love to sample foods familiar to that particular region of the country. I love the different seasonings and spices in the various foods worldwide. I love to test the multiple desserts that they have to offer. It is fun to listen to the owners of different restaurants tell you about the family history behind some of their recipes.

Traveling is a beautiful learning experience for all age groups. Traveling is an excellent way to learn about the history of people, countries, and buildings. Travel until you are no longer able.
