Your Tongue Might Get You In Trouble
Never tell someone that they are fat or too thin. Not all of us are built the same. If someone comes into your business, treat them equally regardless of size, shape, or whatever. Never judge a book by its cover. If someone wears work clothes, do not assume they are poor or beneath you. A woman had an antique store, and a woman came in that had been painting her office building. The store owner ignored her and treated her like she was invisible because she assumed she had no money to buy antiques. She told her friend she had never been maltreated in any business before. The lady with the antique store lost what would have been a good customer, along with everyone she told about her experience there.
Lift People Up And Great Them Cordially
Make someone feel important when they enter your store. Ask them how they are today with a friendly smile on your face. Don’t act like a know-it-all, as that gets old quickly. Remember, the customer is always right; you are to serve the customer, and they are not there to serve you. Never fight or argue with your customers, for soon you will not have any in your place of business as you scared them all away with your quick and nasty temper.
People Never Forget When They Are Treated Badly
They will tell all of their friends about it, and their friends will say to their friends, and soon it is all over town, and it will be tough to get your reputation back as a good and fair store as to how you treat your customers needs. If your customer is unhappy, your store will eventually suffer the consequences. We need service after the sale, not just before the sale. I want to talk to a human being on the phone, not a robot. Businesses will lose sales eventually because people will be fed up with the robot saying I did not get that or I do not understand that. The robot says we will get back to you. They never have for me. I have to call about ten times before my issue gets resolved, and I am fed up with robots acting like humans.
Treat God With Respect And Be Thankful For Your Many Blessings
God has given you so much in your lifetime. God has saved you from many disasters in your lifetime. Sing praises to God daily, for without God; you would be nothing, John 15:51. God is my guide in life and compass; when you have God by your side, you are never lost for long. God hears all the words that leave our mouths and if they are meant to harm or hurt someone. Be careful about the spoken word, like a spent arrow shot in the dark. Once something nasty is said to someone, you cannot retract it. You have to apologize and try to regain their trust, which will be very hard. Think before you speak, and never jump to a conclusion until you have heard all the facts.
