Adopting a kitten or a cat for your child is a good learning experience for them.
They will learn how to care for and love one of God’s creatures. They say that children who grow up treating pets fairly will treat humans equally. Children that mistreat pets will treat adults the same.
Teach your child how to hold his new kitten. If the kitten is born wrong, it will scratch him. Cats have a calming effect on children and adults. Please have your child feed his new kitten and give it fresh water daily. Teach him how to brush the kitten.
If you have a naturally gentle kitten, it might not mind wearing doll clothes. A child will have many hours of fun playing with a cat. Cats love to chase balls and play with feathers on the end of a stick.
Your child will have a cat for the whole time they live with you. Most of my cats have lived in my house from ten to eighteen years old.
A child with a pet generally does better in school. They have learned how to take responsibility by caring for their pet.
His kitten will help him when he has a bad day. The kitten will sit on his lap and purr away. I will play games with him. The kitten will take his mind off of his troubles. Cats are not judgmental and do not talk back to you. He can talk to his cat. They are good listeners. When he feels sick, the cat will lay by his side and keep him company.
Cats are great first-time pets for a child. My first pet was a cat. I developed a deep love for cats and other pets by having a cat.
I hope your child has a lifelong love for cats and other pets.

Cats definitely have a calming effect. I could use a couple right now. 🙂
I grew up with barn cats and now I have 2 house cats. They are indeed very calming to have around most of the time!
I could never imagine not having a cat or two. I have friends who bring their kids over just to play with Tiger and Diesel.
