Automatic Cat Water Bowls Or Fountains

Problems With Certain Models

I purchased an automatic cat water fountain and charged it overnight. I plugged it in the following day, and my cats were scared of it. The pump sounded like a rattlesnake every time they got close to it. Garfunkel and Cai got so excited they ran into a wall when it started. They will not come back into the room where it was. The pump even scared me with its horrible noise when it ran. I took it apart, dried it, and returned it to the box. When I ordered it, they said the pump was quiet, right? They also said it had a porcelain bowl and a plastic bowl. I emailed the company demanding that my money be paid back in full. If they do not do it, PayPal will. Thank goodness I paid for it with PayPal. Never buy one that has a plastic bowl, as plastic harbors bacteria.

I Ordered One From Amazon That Is Stainless Steel

I put it in my other house for the cats that live there. They said it had a whisper-quiet motor, which it does. It is as quiet as a church mouse, and my cats were not scared. It is stainless steel and easy to remove and reassemble for filter, pump cleaning, and general maintenance. When you complete the warranty online, they give you 12 free filters. It comes with a 3-year warranty, and they will send you a brand-new pump if you need one. I plugged it into the large room the cats love to be in, and they seemed pleased and contented with it.

Reviews For Water Pet Fountains

Some companies will pay their customers $100.00 to write a positive review once they have read it. Buy from well-known and trusted companies to eliminate problems down the road. Check the reviews on YouTube and look at people’s problems with the product you are considering buying.

What You Must Have In Your New Pet Fountain

Make sure you buy one with a whisper-quiet water pump and filters to keep the water cleaner and extend the life of your pump. Most models last 2.5 to 4 years. Make sure that filters and pumps are easy to purchase down the road. Buy a stainless steel one as it is easier to clean and more sanitary. My stainless steel one will run three days on a charge before you have to charge it again, or you can leave it plugged in. It pays to clean it every three days as it will last longer, and change the water daily.

Cats With Fountains Tend To Drink More Water

Drinking water is good for cats, helping or preventing ongoing kidney problems. Well-hydrated pets tend to be more active, and getting around is easier. Plenty of water also helps their digestion and any constipation issues. If you purchase a whisper-quiet model, your cat will love its water fountain. Fresh and pure water for your Dear feline friend is a must.
