John Newton wrote the song Amazing Grace and he became a converted slave trader and set all of his slaves free. Some highlights from the song Amazing Grace – how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. Twas Grace that taught my heart to fear and Grace my fears relieved the hour I first believed. I was blind but now I see.  Grace has bought me safe – Grace will lead me home.

Gods Grace is universal and available to all persons. Living in accordance with Grace orients life around God’s gift of salvation. Grace is one as the tribune God is one.

Grace in the Methodist tradition is is manifested in three actions:

Prevenient Grace – means divine love that surrounds all humanity and Gods presence and power reside throughout all creation.

Justifying Grace –  is another word for pardon. It is the forgiveness of all of our sins and our acceptance with God.

Glorifying Grace – The gospel of Christ knows of no religion, but social, no holiness, but social holiness Gods Glorifying Grace will bring to completion God’s final reign of righteousness which is Gods power over evil and death.

Grace leads us to do amazing and awesome things in our life with God helping us along. Grace means helping people in need and doing good works and having patience, faith and being genuine and kind to others. Show your love to others and let them know how much you appreciate them being a part of your life. Be slow to anger and quick to forgive. May the Grace of God be with you today and everyday of your life.
